shiiiiiiiiiiitttt :D it's easily in my top three of drama television series (with twin peaks and sopranos). superb acting, superb casting, very memorable characters, highly highly ambitious; It's much more than a "cop/drug's gang" show; Each season develops new strands of people/work roles. Each season also offers closure, but continues to further the story.

As stated, it takes a couple of episodes to get into it, partly because it chucks you straight in, but it definitely rewards staying with it as they develop the characters/story.

Enjoy! :)

I have been browsing this forum most of the night and have consequently come across a lot of your posts. I have come to the conclusion that you are one of those people who finds it necessary to always disagree with something just because it's popular.

Haven't heard that before. :)

Or someone who is often asked to lecture classes on representations of the Holocaust.

Regardless, one should accept and understand differences in opinion.

No it isn't. It's a glorification of sentimentality and heroism, which had little to no place in the Holocaust.

The novel is a good versus evil story using the Holocaust as a backdrop. The film is the same, but using Spielberg's generic formula of an unlikely hero overcoming stereotypical characters.

Se7en though, I can't help but chuckle at the bad acting from Brad Pitt at the end......It is a good film, and the first time I saw it I didn't find it funny, but when you know what's coming, Brad Pitt's acting is hilarious.

Me and Nightcrawler13 watched The Last King Of Scotland last night. I liked, very much so.

watched "tell no one" (french film) couple of days ago....thought it was rather ace thriller/love story, if a little convoluted. well paced though with good changes in tempo and a great performance from francois cluzet. worth watching I'd say.

...and this is where it develops from a very good show to a great one; as they build extra strands to the story, extra characters & a new workrole, whilst retaining original character sets. where it becomes more about how your job/role moulds you & where as I said; it becomes incredibly ambitious but nails it.

    • Lost my love of football years ago so I pay very little attention to it these days but I'm really enjoying Max Rushden's video diaries of his flat share with Barry Glenddening. I think Barry might kill him before the end of the tournament
    • Not sure if we had a si glow weekend goer on here last year so will be good to have a proper review of the new format
