Comedy At Wychwood

You weren't the Neville dragged onto the stage to prove how much you looked like (rather out of his depth) comedian were you? That was embarrasing for all concerned

I really enjoyed the improv shows. I wanted to see Jeff Green but had passed out by the time he was on due to too many Margaritas, shame most of the comedy was on so late.

Now, I'm prepared to tolerate kids at a child friendly festival, but 11 o'clock at night in a comedy tent/bar is not where I want to hear them heckling comedians and throwing water over them. Granted one in particular was pants on Sunday night but it went on too long with no intervention by parents or stewards.

I didn't catch any of the late night comedy, but the improv stuff in the big top was hilarious. Josie Lawrence and the gang were great. Although, I'm not sure I shall ever look at a cheese grater in the same way again

Due to the 11AM amplified music cut off the original headliner on Sunday went on first because of his guitar.

Sadly missed it Saw the Friday/Saturday comedy and thought it was great.

We were aware that there was a particular problem child during the comedy and stewards had already had a run in with the child and his parent/s, I'm sorry that in this particular case they were able to spoil the entertainment for others...

Just to add my four pennys worth. I was venue manager that night, and from where I was standing it appeared that the comedians were initially egging the kid on. It did not help that the kid in question had a triple A pass. For all we knew he could have been part of the act!

Also the more observant amongst you would have noticed that one of my stewards did intervene when the "water" incident occurred.

Anyway, a point for the future would be that should an age restriction be applied to the late night comedy evenings,or does this detract from the family friendliness of the festival?
