I've spent many hours at that stall over the years, watching those little boats, so relaxing in a strange sort of way. Its actually a little way up from the railway crossroads, on the main path but at the top of the Croissant neuf field, just before the hedgerow to the next field. And the lighting by that area, even in daytime its almost complete darkness! Gutted they weren't there last year. Why weren't they there, anyone?

They were missing in 2022 as well, I loved those little boats! 😥

Thank you - my friend took the plunge and booked it so we will give it a go. It just seemed a bit odd them announcing it so late but it looks decent for the price 👍

That's probably why it's a such a good price, Yurtel their sister Glamping company costs a small fortune. I am grateful to own a caravan!

Really considering this for a bit of extra comfort it looks quite good - for 2 of us, assume we could stick 2 tents at our pitch spot? So £125 each it seems. We would have to walk from coach drop off to there is the only thing.

According to the website up to 5 people can stay on one pitch. The pitches are 5m x 5m so it's a decent size. 🙂

  4. Anyone on the lookout for inexpensive glamping, there is a new site by Gate D, run by Yurtel. It's a pitch your own tent but it has lots of glamping facilities with prices from £250.00. Plus you get a 5 metre by 5 metre pitch, so you can pitch more than one tent with a maximum of 5 people on for the pitch for the same price! There is more information here - https://holtfarm.co.uk/ Also see the discussion over in questions - https://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/topic/253563-is-this-campsite-a-scam/ 😄

Ah now I have noticed that Yurtel may indeed be involved as Holt Farm has the same registered address as Yurtel in Marshfield.

If that's the case then it adds further credence to Holt Farm being a genuine option.

Yes, this is what I spotted too! Apologies I should have pointed it out to you.

not any help Re: the OP question, sorry... but does anyone no how much Yurtel is?

just out of interest i clicked through the above link - and the idea of little garden shed with en-suite is oh so tempting!

wonder if i can find enough ££££££££££££££££££££ down the back of the sofa to pay for it...

I would suggest that you contact them, there is a link in one of my replies above. Personally I think you are going to need to search down the back of a LOT of sofas!  😂

So I’ve emailed Yurtel and they do seem to be legit!

Looks like a decent price and being on the level will be appealing to people wanting a bit more space and facilities. 😊

    Hi all,

Have been looking at this Holt Farm campsite, but as its new and seems to be locating itself in last years sticklinch car park I’m thinking it might be a scam? Thoughts?

They appear to be part of Yurtel - https://yurtel.co.uk/events/glastonbury-festival-glamping/

Drop Yurtel an email to check they are genuine. Please remember to report back! 😊

There does appear to be a lot of empty field near Gate D but no idea if it is genuine. Have a look at this map - https://www.glastopedia.com/festivals/2023/satellite

Maybe a local can assist @parsonjack @pilton diggerany idea?

    Almost certainly Thursday afternoon 2023

It doesn't look busy enough in West Holts to be Thursday afternoon. It's packed near the Brothers Bar and it's where #Twisto meet up at 2pm, it was busier than that as I recall.

ah, it appears some of wicket was also allocated as accessible camping in 2023, so would expect that to remain the same and fair enough tbh.

The Accessible Campervans/Caravan site was moved into the right hand side of wicket. Its opposite Spring Ground Accessible Campsite which is just for tents now. It enables both Accessible fields to share the facilities.

Thanks for the share! And yeah, was just thinking about adding additional info like you suggested. Plenty of things to think about!

This is a fab map, thanks so much! I can see our pitch in E21! What day and time was in taken? 😊

Shuttle is good, would you have to queue to get back in? I’m trying to remember how it works

There is a separate re-entry lane so they won't have to queue with new arrivals. 😊

Does the page tracking always work with that bot check they've added to the login form? I've already been asked to solve puzzles etc and that's without logging in every set period of time. Setting up Visualping now but can see it getting stuck at that. which it actually already has while trying to set it up

It worked for me in 2022, I haven't volunteered since. Hopefully someone else can comment. 😊

And thanks a lot for the info! Page alerts will get set up for sure. Will also make sure the gf's account is accessible and vice versa so we can register us both whoever is in the position to act on the alert

This is the page to monitor, you will need to have set up an account to see it. You will also get alerts for all changes to other festivals too! It keeps the anxiety levels ticking over! 😂

Assume this is for people who are on the "priority" list and have worked with Oxfam before?

At this stage you have the same chance as a first time volunteer to someone with priority. Priority gives existing volunteers who meet the criteria a week before everyone else to book when places are first released.

Make sure you are registered, join the Oxfam Stewards Facebook group and set up page alerts on this page - https://myfestivals.oxfam.org.uk/Signup/FestivalRole Make sure you sign in constantly as it logs you out.

    Good luck! 🍀

Lenor bottles are a game changer. Thurs night at the last fest I woke up twice for a pee and came close to overfilling a 1.5 litre one the second time. That was a bit scary.

An upgrade to a large bottle might be a good idea! 😂

Thank you @StoneCircle... I have joined up with the resale group for the first time this year... We will see how it goes..

I think i just missed you last year at the eFests meeting, it would be nice to say hello..

If you get into East we can always have a mini meet up there. I will be in E21 somewhere by the hedge between there and E20 in the Accessible Area. 😊

  17. I bought these in 2007 from Ian Gill Sculpture in The Greenfields. One is a stork and the other is an acorn leaf bird bath. My mum died in 2006 and my dad gave me her secret money stash he found in her purse. These both represent my mum, the stork being the carrier of babies and she carried me. And one of her sayings was "From Little Acorns, Mighty Oak Trees Grow". They always make me think of her even after all this time! 💗

I’ve been there a couple of times and no issues with a tent next to my van so you should be fine with an awning.

It’s quiet there, with lots of space. Obviously some peoples cup of tea but not others…

I’d say the bus is more like 10 mins though. But be prepared to do a lot of walking up to Gate A!

Maybe contact for more information @t0paz ? 😊

It must have been the Thursday that I was up there then. I was busy loading the minibuses and it was a steady stream all day and didn’t notice any big queues to get to the marquee. Just shows how your perspective is different from different angles-never seen it from the queue side

It was in 2022 when I volunteered. I remember it being very hot and there were long queues for the minibus. Everyone waiting was very patient and just happy to be there which was lovely!  😀

I stand corrected!  Must just have been when I’ve been on shift there that there wasn’t a queue.

My shift was 2pm to 10pm on Thursday and it was steadily busy until about 7pm.

On Wednesday some of my friends joined the very long queue at 6am and eventually reached the front at 11:15 am. By the time they got to Spring Ground both of them were absolutely exhausted and would never do it again. I know I couldn't physically queue like that which is why we go into E21 Forward Accessible Campervan site. 😊
