I’ve been there a couple of times and no issues with a tent next to my van so you should be fine with an awning.

It’s quiet there, with lots of space. Obviously some peoples cup of tea but not others…

I’d say the bus is more like 10 mins though. But be prepared to do a lot of walking up to Gate A!

Maybe contact for more information @t0paz ? 😊

It must have been the Thursday that I was up there then. I was busy loading the minibuses and it was a steady stream all day and didn’t notice any big queues to get to the marquee. Just shows how your perspective is different from different angles-never seen it from the queue side

It was in 2022 when I volunteered. I remember it being very hot and there were long queues for the minibus. Everyone waiting was very patient and just happy to be there which was lovely!  😀

I stand corrected!  Must just have been when I’ve been on shift there that there wasn’t a queue.

My shift was 2pm to 10pm on Thursday and it was steadily busy until about 7pm.

On Wednesday some of my friends joined the very long queue at 6am and eventually reached the front at 11:15 am. By the time they got to Spring Ground both of them were absolutely exhausted and would never do it again. I know I couldn't physically queue like that which is why we go into E21 Forward Accessible Campervan site. 😊

If you’re parking in the accessible car park there won’t be a queue apart from the one for the minibus to take your stuff to Spring Ground

@phillyfaddle I don't agree with @tarw about there not being a queue, some people wait for hours on Wednesday morning.

Expect to queue when you and the person who you are the PA for collect their access pack and your ticket from the Accessible Arrivals Marquee in the car park. People start queuing overnight just like any other pedestrian gate so depending on what time you arrive will depend on the wait. Wednesday morning is the busiest time. I recommend taking a chair for the queue and plenty of water and snacks. There are toilets but nothing else. I have experienced both entering the festival via the Accessible Arrivals Marquee and working there. I volunteered as an Oxfam steward, my role was checking tickets there.

Depends what time the shuttle buses from B&W to the festival site start on Weds, I wouldn't have thought there would be much call for them to start before the festival gates open but I could be wrong. It's a fair trek to meet your mates at B&W, if it was me i'd get them to meet me in the festival unless up want to go and have a shower at the CV or something?

The shuttle runs from 9am on Tuesday until 8pm on Monday - 24/7. https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/getting-here/2592-2/

  6. Having pitched in E21 for many years I have witnessed crowds (100's) of people gathering on Wednesday and Thursday awaiting getting smuggled in. Occasionally security get alerted and they are rounded up and removed. Not sure of the actual route into the festival or who the smugglers are but it happens. The campervan fields have food outlets and toilets so these are probably more appealing than loitering in the car parks awaiting the contact  making the meet up call!

We once had two blokes without wristbands enter our awning, not realising we were in the caravan. I followed them to the food outlet in E20 and pointed them out to security who removed them.

We’ve got quiet east, never been in the campervan before. Thinking of arriving Tuesday night about 10pm. How quickly does the quiet campsite fill up?

This will give you a better idea ☺️

My mate paid for ours and I’ve received a confirmation email but it’s not showing up when I login to See Tickets. Can see previous years but not 2024. Anyone else the same? I pressed Import but says no orders in there.

Glastonbury doesn't always show up in your SeeTickets account. Enter your details on this page - https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/customerservice 😊

There were some safe spaces introduced by Emily recently which hopefully will return and were part of a worthy rest initiative . Might be worth looking these up when the map drops for those that might need them

@4AssedMonkey Here is a link to the Sensory Calm Space information -  https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/access-information/sensory-calm-space/ - You will probably need to contact the Accessible Team to use them, drop them an email to - accessibility@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk they are a great team!

Never stumbled across this thread before, but wish I had.

I've decided this year that if the "vibe" of the festival is more 2023 and less 2019/previous and there are selfish, pushy w*nkers and blatant coke-heads everywhere then this will be my last.  For my own good.

What a great post and I am pleased that you got the help you needed. Well done in seeking that help as I know how hard that part is as I have been there.

We felt very much like this after 2023, especially Elton John. I am 62 and my knees can't do it any more so I rented a mobility scooter, coked up idiots were everywhere and even tried climbing over me in my scooter instead of walking round me. It was a miserable experience that was then totally turned around by my 4 self appointed bouncers who protected me and physically pushed people away who tried to get anywhere near me. They were great and transformed the last night into a positive experience. In 2024 we have vowed to avoid the Pyramid on Sunday night, which will hopefully avoid a reoccurrence of this. It helps that we have no idea who SZA is, other than what I have read on here. I have hearing loss so getting into new music is quite hard for me. The Arctic Monkeys were the last new band I got into as like them I come from North Sheffield and understand their accents as my cousins live in High Green. (I recall you being from Sheffield too?)

I hope you have a better time this year too. Our aim is to spend more time in The Greenfields, enjoy The Woods, the Theatre and Circus and visit Glastonbury on Sea. The Accessible team had exclusive use of this area on Sunday morning in 2023, (see screenshot) hopefully this will happen again in 2024. People with Mental Health issues can use the Accessible Campsite and facilities so it might be worth looking into.

I wish you well for 2024 and hope you return next year. 🤗

    Hi all,

Can anyone recommend anywhere to fill the water tank on our van before arrival on Tuesday afternoon? We are driving down from Manchester so don't want to travel with a full tank.

Only our second time with a van, so relative newbies. We assumed we could fill up on site, but the company we used to hire the van didn't provide an attachment. Would rather enter with a full tank and top up as we go if needs be

    Thanks, E

We stay in a nearby campsite on Monday night, that gives you the opportunity to fill up before you leave for the festival!

Have you got an East Campervan field ticket, but all of your mates got Bath and West Showground tickets?

Are you worried that you'll be lonely?  Concerned that you'll be missing out on all the fun and bantz?  Terrified that your friends will be having the time of their lives sat around the gazebo in Bath and West whilst you're sat gazing into your Pot Noodle?  Anxious about missing out on the shuttlebus shenanigans?

Well I have the perfect solution for you!  A SWAP!  I have just the ticket you're looking for - a Bath and West Showground campervan ticket, and I am willing to swap it for your East Campervan ticket!

Get in touch and we can sort it out.  Not sure whether there is a price difference but I'm not interested in making money - it's just the East Campervan ticket I need 🙂

    Thanks in advance!!!

Listen, not trying to oppress you, but you notice how you're the only person who thinks it's possible and all us folks who spend a lot of the year on here say it isn't?  😉

@clarkete Is correct, I have never witnessed anyone wanting a B&W campervan pass instead of an East campervan pass! It's similar to deciding between a VHS or Betamax video player, nobody ever said back in the day they wish they had chosen Betamax!

You can still purchase B&W passes, this was taken minutes ago. 🙂

Hi all, has anyone ever done Glasto with POTs? Last time I went in 2019 I didn't have POTs and now I do and I am a bit concerned about how my body is going to cope, especially if it is incredibly hot again. Does anyone have any recs on good shady areas/ places you can get lucozade (in big volumes!) there/ if this would be accepted as an access need? Thank you!

The only people qualified to answer if you would be accepted to use the Accessible Facilities is Nimbus. Firstly you need to apply for either an Access Card or Glastonbury Access Pass, see the links in my post below. They are vetting all applications this year so without an Access card or Glastonbury Access pass you can't apply.

If they approve your application you can then apply to use the Accessible Facilities and Campsite, also in the link below.

The Co-op will probably sell Lucozade but I don't know what volume. Probably only cans as they have to follow the no glass or plastic bottles can be sold on site rule, as do all stalls.

Shade is plentiful in the Theatre & Circus tents, likewise in Woodsies, Acoustic and Avalon stages. There are also calm zones available via the Accessible Facilities. Good luck! 🤞🏻

I have used the Accessible Facilities since 2011, you will need to register with the Accessible Team to do this - further information on registering can be found here - https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/access-information/

New this year (proof of your disability is required) you also have to register with Nimbus and obtain either a Nimbus Card - £15 for 3 years or a Nimbus Glastonbury Pass which is free. further information can be found here - https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/access-information/registering-to-use-the-accessible-facilities-onsite/

***The deadline for Access Applications is the 30th April 2024, however I would recommend people submitted these earlier to avoid missing out on facilities.

And a reminder that the access facilities are not for people with temporary impairments such as broken bones, healing wounds or woman who are pregnant.

Unfortunately, the Festival cannot offer closer parking, reserve camping or assistance getting on/ off and around the site to people with temporary impairments.

Happy to answer any questions about the facilities offered, Spring Ground campsite or East Accessible Campervan Area as I have stayed in both. I have also volunteered in the Accessible Marquee with Oxfam Festival Stewards. 😊

  15. I did accidentally last year on a re-entry! I had forgotten to take my ticket and pass out from the caravan. My wristband was too tight and I needed to exchange it. I bumped into someone I had volunteered with in the past who took me straight to the wristband area, bypassing the re-entry ticket check. New wristband fitted and in I went. It was only when I went to pass out of the festival I realised I didn't have my ticket. My husband had to go back to the caravan and get it for me! 😂
