I’m doing the virtual London marathon on Oct 3rd. Did a 10 mile run Saturday (longest run in about 2 - 3 years) So 4 weeks to get up to 26 miles… Stupid or smart? 😬

Part of me is worried that they'll wait until after Christmas before giving us anything. Possibly just wait to see what the covid landscape is like? I know we were in a different position last year in regards to vaccines etc. but there wasn't anything lineup wise confirmed pre cancellation... I'll bite a hand off for something soon though!

What do we think public mood would be towards another lockdown or track back on where we are currently? Can't see it washing down well given the vaccine uptake...

I’ll caveat this by saying I’m a Leeds fan so coming at it from a neutrals perspective but really looking forward to the West Ham v Leicester game tonight. Really enjoy watching both sides play and can honestly see it being a very good game. Therefore a 0-0 inevitably awaits 😔 Interested to hear others thoughts on how West Ham have now got it “right” so to speak? It was only 2 seasons ago there was proper anarchy in the ground wasn’t there? Is Moyes really that good?!

To be fair don't shirt sponsors / manufacturers pay a fat wedge to the club anyhow? It's an investment on their end really isn't it? Which pays off clearly in a big way if a club goes out and gets the likes of Ronaldo / Messi etc.

It does seem a bit illogical. Surely the increased exposure from an incredible performance would generate enough money from purchased tickets to the next stadium tour regardless of what your upfront fee for TV rights is. I suppose the flip side of that is if your performance is shite then you'd potentially lose any prospective ticket sales.

Why do some artists insist on this sort of thing? Is there something obvious I'm missing? The Stones did it as well when headlining Glastonbury didn't they?

My poor parents are desperate to get to Perth to see my Sister and her Husband. Both retired so ready to pack up and go as soon as the green light is given. You're thinking by mid next year then? Across all states? I know Perth is a bit of an outlier generally given it's geographical position!

I'm feeling good. Wife tested positive by LFT Friday with symptoms starting on Thurs (only 1 jab), had PCR and this returned positive Saturday morning. Symptoms mild / cold like. I've been testing myself using LFT's everyday since and every single one has been negative. Difference being i'm double jabbed with that sweet Moderna nectar. Best thing about it all is that I only had to isolate for 2 days due to today's rule change. You love to see it! Bottom line however - GET DOUBLE JABBED.

Had an interesting conversation with track and trace yesterday… Him - “System says you have to isolate until 22nd August” Me - “I’m double jabbed fella, I’ll be free as of Monday” Him - “System says 22nd” Me - “not happening” Him - “let me check with the manager” Turns out they don’t even know the rules themselves. Imbeciles.

Wife has had 2 positive LFT’s and now awaiting PCR result. Was due her 2nd jab tomorrow so somewhat ironic. I had my 2nd dose of Moderna nearly 3 weeks ago and my LFT’s are currently negative. Given I had covid back in Jan it’s going to be an interesting experiment over the next few days seeing if I catch it again or not…
