I know someone who is working on the Barbie set and apparently the entire country is now out of that specifc shade of pink paint as they have used it all on the movie lol
  2. The thing with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is that they are literally every musical genre that has ever been known to mankind. One of their 27 albums they are gonna release this year is bound to be pop-punk!
  3. I can see Copping ringing Machine Head and it's an hour long conversation where they are haggling but it isn't over money, just how many minutes they can play for.
  4. I'd be up for them. Between the disinterest from the regulars and the slots they take at other festivals I don't automatically think they would need a big slot though. To me the issue is putting them in between a couple of bands that suit them, they would fucking fall flat if they are sandwiched in between say Hatebreed and Saxon but on a stage with say Band Of Skulls and Wolfmother they could work.
  5. I like them but I can't see them headlining myself. I mean their shows keep getting downsized. They have seemed to be getting more cooperative lately with things like having support bands so let them headline the 2nd stage with a 2 hour set (as they like playing longer) which they will smash and I can see them getting back on track to be proper headliners one day.

Conspiracy theory time! Anyone reckon Nick Khan leaked the stuff about Vince? Since he’s come in the companies leadership has been fired/put on leave until it was just Vince left who now has a big scandal. If it was just him and Johnny Ace fucking around he might get away with it but it’s the millions spent on payoffs that could get him sacked.
  7. @beetchezThe Wildhearts have split up again a few months ago. My take with the talk of surprises, a 4th headliner who is big sub/weak headliner and having actually all the stages active all days and bands playing whilst the mainstage headliners are on. Metallica - Limp Bizkit - Disturbed - While She Sleeps - Hatebreed - Code Orange - Bleed From Within - Bokassa Greta Van Fleet - Clutch - Gary Clarke jr Neck Deep Slade Queens Of The Stone Age - Iggy Pop - Halestorm - The Pretty Reckless - Killing Joke - Pigs x7 - Butcher Babies - Saint Agnes Machine Head -Behemoth - Avatar The Interrupters Cult Of Luna Bring Me - Architects - Don Bronco - Turnstile - Refused - Hot Milk - Bob Vylan - VUKOVI Whitesnake - Anthrax - Arch Enemy Primus Dimmu Borgir Metallica - Sabaton - Lamb Of God - Amon Amarth - Dragon Force - Jinjer - Malevolence - Venom Prisom The Offspring - The Distillers - Asking Alexandria Deaf Havana Apocalyptica
  8. I saw Billy at IOW 5ish years ago (or whenever Prodigy, Fleetwood Mac and Blur headlined) and he was really good. I was making fun of the idea of seeing him (for his cheese music rather than his age) but he just proved I was wrong dickhead and would be up for seeing him again.
  9. Dusty died last year, I don't think they will carry on without him and if they do it will be like Thin Lizzy, Sublime or Queen where it's kinda "what's the point?". There's few old rockers who aren't regulars they could bring back and put on whilst Bring Me play. Alice Cooper (I've recently become a really hardcore fan of his and would probably see him over Bring Me), Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Journey, Billy Idol (he's actually pretty fun live), Status Quo, Scorpions etc.
  10. Twisted Sister have split up and Code Orange really need to be on main stage imo.
  11. Unless it's a hipster thing, I saw someone the other day with a cassette player. I actually still use my MP3 player and every now and then someone get's amazed by it however I live in London so no wi-fi/signal on the tube and why would I limit myself to a handful of songs on my phone's memory when I've got a 200GB MP3 player that has literally hundreds of albums on it.
  12. Yeah, Post Human is amazeballs. I'm shocked they didn't keep going and make it a full album or just call it an album as it could quite easily be their Reigning Blood, Vulgar Display of Power, The Number of the Beast etc landmark album.
  13. I'd want to see them play Diamonds Aren't Forever again, it's a stupid song but it was the one that made me notice Bring Me.
  14. They had Frank Turner open for them too that night. I'm not a massive fan of Green Day (everything since American Idiot is so boring) but they are one of the few bands I'd be willing to go to a stadium show for as they are so infectious live filling out the entire stadium. I've seen a few too many stadium acts not able to do that so now I'm reluctant to go to any staduim show anymore. Five Finger are a lot better live than on record imo, I rarely listen to but I've got any complaints about them as a live act.
  15. I'm surprised Joan doesn't tour the UK more often, it's been over 10 years since she last played here and that was only because Green Day booked her as their support with a few other dates around their off days. She would go down a storm at a festival as she is loads of fun live. Best case scenario is Queens or Five Finger imo but I'm bracing myself for something naff like Whitesnake or Deep Purple.
  16. We got too carried away with the hype and forgot it's Download! 😜
  17. Aren't Parkway Drive headlining Bloodstock next year though?
  18. That's his farewell tour and it has been postponed for years even before the lockdowns. The dates are in the summer and he's not big enough to do his own tour and Download at the same time, plus he's in hospital at the moment. Touchwood he makes it out okay. I don't think Judas Priest or Faith No More would be a headliner at all even as a weak headliner. Also I think Judas aren't allowed to play in the UK until they are done supporting Ozzy which they have been locked into for years now as the dates keep getting pushed back. It's gonna be something naff like Whitesnake's last ever UK show.
  19. Just make sure to avoid The Red Hot Chili Peppers when you're there! I probably would have seen 'tallica again at Hellfest but those tixs sold out super quick, I joined the queue on the dot and I was like the 100k person in line.
  20. I wouldn't worry too much, 'tallica are decent live so you will enjoy the show. Where are you seeing them? They are tad overplayed for my own taste. It's them and Foo Fighters where I had a long run of them being at every festival I went to, if I was a bigger fan of those two I'd probably be happy seeing them every other year.
  21. I actually thought it was a joker poster when I saw his name.
  22. I find the idea of Metallica playing twice a bit messed up to be honest. I like them enough and I'm sure people will be happy with them as it is 'tallica afterall but there's only really 4-6 good albums from them and there aren't many deep cuts I want to hear to justify two full sets. With Download seemingly not wanting bands playing at the same time as the headliners I'm finding it a downer prospect after getting into the idea of a 4 day Download. Metallica - Deep Purple - Bring Me - Metallica you've been warned! 😜
  23. The same rumour of it is Metallica x2 has the other headliner being Bring Me and there's either a new weak headliner or a very big sub but it's not Ghost. So there might be a Slipknot or Rammstein and this other band is subbing. I wouldn't say the likes of Alter Bridge, Sabaton or Gojira would be a big sub as they are pretty standard subs imo so thinking outside the box I'm just gonna spit out names on who the 4th is could be even if some are shit/unlikely that I could see as weak headliner/strong sub. There's Nine Inch Nails, Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Deep Purple, Paramore, Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood, Thirty Seconds To Mars and anyone else? Shit, it's gonna be Deep Purple isn't it?
  24. After finally warming up to the idea of seeing Metallica again after getting fed up of so many years of them just being at every fest I went to them doing two nights will kill my buzz for them again.
  25. IMO Greta Van Fleet are too low as they have sold out Ally Pally, Feeder (whilst should have never headline and have dropped off) are too big to be opening the mainstage and Wet Leg are just WTF are they even doing there.
