Almost as popular as 'The Undercard', who I hear are pretty great this year.

Some great stuff in there, confident I'll have loads of good options to fit around volunteer shifts

I saved a somewhat fuzzy site map last year - this should at least give you an idea of the normal layout, although someone else might have a better version without the orange text boxes! The two biggest stages (main stage plus In The Dock) alternate performance times, so there's never an issue with sound bleed between those two. Other stages are a bit further down the site towards the science/workshops area, might get more sound bleed down that end I guess but it's never been something I've massively noticed. Word of warning: the silent disco that runs around midnight in the In The Dock tent ends up pretty loud because everyone sings along, so you'll definitely hear them if you're camped round the back of that tent! The site gets pretty quiet at night in general though, there's not much going on once the main stage headliner finishes. It's a compact and very walkable site, won't take you too long to get from one stage to another unless there's some serious mud.

I think it's slightly cheaper if you order a car parking ticket I'm advance rather than paying on the day, maybe a fiver difference?

It's definitely getting rough out there, I've seen a few people on here say they're cutting back on how many gigs they attend given the cost of everything else. This sounds like the currency crash has made playing the UK and EU worse for American artists specifically. I wonder if we'll see less US bands at festivals again next summer.

Yes, if a venue gets full then it becomes one in / one out with a queue to get in once there is space. Last year I mainly remember this happening at the smaller venues e.g. Oporto and the Wardrobe. I think there was also a queue for the O2 because they do bag searches. I had a great time last year, really looking forward to WH Lung, WMC, Los Bitchos and more this time. If you're not familiar with some of the venues then definitely have a look at the map before planning your day, some of them (e.g. the Brudenell and Hyde Park Book Club) are pretty far out from the wristband exchange.

I don't think early birds have ever had a payment plan option, isn't the whole point of them to get payment upfront?
