  1. 6k followers isn’t really a lot in social media terms, must have a connection somewhere. Can imagine that the TPD Tv lot will probs get a few free tickets but they’ve got 125k subscribers. Imagining a Coachella vs Glastonbury video will be coming out from them.
  2. Wonder how you get Vodafone to randomly stumble across your tweet from 7 months ago. Not like her original tweet got a lot of attention.
  3. Yeah you’d have to spend £1000’s to give yourself any decent odds of over 50%. Think they’re up to 70k entries
  4. Just had my email from Shelter at 11:01 so check your junk etc. If you’re looking out for it
  5. Has anyone else noticed the postal entries loophole? No limit on personal entries by post providing postage is paid on the envelope, and one entry per envelope. 68p for a 2nd class stamp so if you can get some envelopes from the work stationary cupboard and have questionable ethics on charity raffles you can get 14 entries for £10.
  6. They have been deleting quite a few bids, the price has dropped a few times while I’ve been half keeping an eye on it. probs deleting low feedback accounts
  7. You’ve always been able to buy your way in if you wanted to, just needed a few connections, which can be bought by those third party event sites with the mad expensive hospitality packages.

    Brixton Crush

Probably the same reason the McDonald’s in Brixton has about 10 security staff, high likelihood of something kicking
  9. The loop used to have a home office exemption for handling prohibited drugs, it could not be further down this governments list to give them one. Would be an easy win for labour to legalise weed and tax the shit out of it to pay for the mess we’re in, and be a bit more progressive, but they don’t seem to want to rock the boat yet
  10. Smaller groups would be fine if they had teen tickets for 13-17 yr olds not included in the 4 person cap. That way families are fine but a wider variety of adult groups can get through
  11. Difference is you can qualify for automatic entry for the London marathon if you can run a marathon in a certain time. Whilst it would be nice to get a presale ‘cos I’m really good at festivalling’ it wouldn’t really work
  12. I’ve had the payment system crap out on me in 2 years previously, probably more common now because of the extra verifications steps maybe?
  13. At Shambala you have to present your train ticket on arrival to pick up your tickets, although that’s on trial this year and you could always just buy a ticket from a few stops away on your phone
  14. The user experience is terrible but apart from a handful of people, no one cares once they’ve got a ticket. People are complaining on Twitter it’s ableist which is a stretch.
  15. May as well over sell if they know that they’ll have 10% of returns for the resale
  16. One of my friends works for Thames water so if he’s volunteering for wateraid he doesn’t have to take annual leave, which is a massive perk, as they need you to arrive on the Tuesday He has done 2 years on the loo crew now
  17. On this forum? I don’t think it will put off many people, everyone was expecting atleast £300 anyway. out in the general population it might put off a few first timers that are on the fence about paying £340 for camping and long drops
  18. Big ooof. Two people, campervan and a tank of fuel is getting on for a grand before you’ve bought a cider. Sort of just rules out multiple festivals for most people.
  19. It’s a different kind of survival, if it was raining for 4 days straight I think more people would have left, there’s only so long you can stand being soaked through for without drying off
  20. If anyones keeping track tickets for next year go on sale tomorrow at 1pm
  21. The beauty of Wednesday entry is you’re not missing anything really, obviously this forum is bias and will insist the set up day is the perfect start to 5 days of sitting in a field, but festivals are expensive af, if it was a £20 discount if you arrived Thursday then it would be a lot more attractive as a perception.
  22. Easiest solution, charge an extra £20 for Wednesday entry like Boomtown do.
  23. Plus £38.50 for the car park. boomtown is probably going to have a break even year all things considered they’re still massively in debt, although now they are propped up by live nation. Got a feeling Glastonbury will definitely be over £300 from Boomtowns prices. Then again Boomtowns ethos doesn’t align with its actions so anyones guess how much profit they’re making
  24. They haven’t released the prices yet, the resale tickets for this years were £285+£7.50 booking fee so probs touching £300 this year
  25. Just checked what I paid in 2019, £241.75 for a ticket and half a parking permit (split with mate) inc eco bond and booking fees. Would be over £100 more this time.
