same app that tells me almost every single day over november/december sort of time at some point that `snow will start in xx minutes` on its minute forecast when theres barely a cloud in the sky .....yeah about as `accurate` as the beeb lol

tbh youll prob get a better set from the bootleg beatles on the acoustic, they killed it on the same stage the other year, had the entire tent singing along to every word, and the effort put into the tribute is amazing also.......yes I know `the real thing` is performing on the pyramid but his voice is shot now and his set isnt exactly going to be full of energy now either is it? (not his fault before anyone accuses me of disrespect just age taking its course) Amazing performer in his day but now? Clearly someone whose headlining based on past reputation rather then current ability.

why would there be a need to? noone gives a shit for it anymore, may as well check us for colds, flu, any other viruses while they are at it......one of the great things about going to glastonbury this time to get away from the covid zealots who cant quite seem to face the fact the pandemic is over.

Will say if you go the survival blanket route and it gets even a bit windy then be prepared to be hated at night/find them on the ground in the morning having been ripped off ....they make a hell of a racket when being blown about being foil etc is all. Been there done that. Mine lasted a day. Got a new fresh and black tent this year and hoping the effect is as good as advertised!

ha times like this im glad to be a fan of some of the more obscure or less `popular` acts on the lineup. Out of that entire top 20 I think only ones I may see will be libertines and maybe foals. Everything else im at some other stage watching some other act with hopefully a crowd with an easier chance of getting near the front.

if you tracked any viral illness to the extent they track covid you would see waves coming and going....the difference is if we see a wave of say the flu or the common cold or others we dont shut the country down in a panic! To be honest anyone who still pays attention to this crap is just looking for an excuse to be scared it seems. It will certainly be the last thing on my mind when im enjoying glastonbury!

The spoilt brats have come out to play it seems.....this strike has absoutly nothing to do with the festival so no it is not up to them to fix it......and there are many ways to get there that dont involve the train......if you do have to get the train you can do on wednesday fine anyway.

Mine would be for this year im more looking forward to the bootleg beatles set on the sunday then i am maccas, just because they represent every era of the beatles, they really make an effort, they have a tonne of energy on stage and on a smaller stage they will get big energy going from the crowd as well. Saw them in the acoustic a few years back and it was utterly rammed with the crowd singing every word and just bouncing.From what ive seen of current macca shows his voice isnt nearly good these days (not his fault, age stops for no man) and due to said age I doubt his set will have much energy either.....also the pyramid field is an utter mare when its an artist as big as that....BUT it is an ideal time to get down to the se corner early and get a proper banging saturday night out going before the masses swamp it 🙂 . Will be at yungblud for the first part of his set anyway so will probably finish up there then head to se corner and catch the original beatle as im merely passing through (or trying to lol)

My first glasto was 2013 and I remember watching primal scream there expecting big things from their rep.....they were shit, they acted like they didnt even want to be there, the sound was fucked and they had no energy. I love them on record but I wonder why they are still worth a headline slot live? That is one thing I dislike at this fest.....a lot of awesome new music BUT also to many past it acts trading off past glories but somehow still getting top billing or close to it.....the gallagher brothers would be another one, like it or not both of their bands are just shit copies of what theyve done before but they are always here in a respectable slot.

The question is who will `keep` a crowd......and who is plainly going to be exposed fast as just hype or just playing on old glories with little substance to keep people interested through an entire set. frank and the rattlesnakes were here in 2017, awesome set....i remember the dudes who randomly had a blow up dingey as well and were trying to crowd surf in it. amazing energy Oh and id bloody love Sikth! was stoked when they got back together as a fan who saw them live when they first came about with that first ep back in the day... that was like a dynamite shot of craziness in the arm.....such the....FOOL! 😛

I do love people that try and diss rock and metal and talk about how their dying genres etc(yeah been hearing that for about 30 years now haha)......without realising that half the acts they use to claim as `past it` many fans dont listen to anyway......as with any niche genre the real good stuff is on the underground.....or touring the fuck out of their material to busy trying to play to as many of their fans as they can to write `singles` and worry about the charts. Just got tickets to see machine head and amon amarth in sept in man, cant wait! As for rock and metal at glasto? i give and take, its awesome when it comes up but im not going to expect it to cover the bill, this aint download or bloodstock. but I dont go here `purly` for the music.....if I did, as a rock and metal fan id go to one of the festivals dedicated to that. Also glasto has opened my eyes to a lot of stuff away from rock and metal I may not have even given a chance to before, such is the beauty of this fest with the variety it brings.

Rammstein are playing Cardiff 30th June....no other gigs I can see between 23rd June and start of July.....they are in the country at least.....chances? How fucking incredible would that pyro be at glasto? 😄

Polls mean sod all away from election time as people will say anything when they don't have to act on it anytime soon. What matters is he's not doing his job, labour are not acting like opposition other then a few backbenchers who still have a bit of left wing fire left in them (watch it though if you speak to passionately stamer will try to 'cull' you for not being moderate enough 😋.) The tory Party and boris in particular have got away with so so so much over the last couple of years with barely any challenge. You say Labour are polling well? Considering the fuck ups of the opposition, the skeletons in boris's and others closets that have been aired, the complete cack handling of the covid crisis they should be miles ahead by now! The fact that despite all that they are still only just polling now around the same as the tory party is not something to be proud of! Stamers has so many things he could have utterly roasted boris for as of late but he hasn't, because he has no fire, he's a coward and a total bore to be fair. Taking a stand just isn't in his dna! I dread to think of what will happen if he's still in charge come election time. Mr Grey couldn't inspire a piss up in a brewery.

Not posted for a long time, obviously glasto is still far in the future and god knows if itll even be `allowed` to take place giving the current assholes in charge, however I do have to say seeing as I got so so so much shit for it at the time of the last election..... hey @eFestivals hows that `moderate` labour leadership working out for you? sunk without a trace thanks to no fire, no passion, no drive and very much on the fence and uninspiring in everything. stamer IS mr grey and labour will never go anywhere with this kind of attitude, just as we really need a firebrand opposition to hold the govt to account as well....shame that.
