  1. Not mine but saw this on FB glasto group....handy map with added labels for all features of interest. https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1FLkBdHkqSYNHPppwcBRBQgi_ezAZznI&shorturl=1&ll=51.159951745792725%2C-2.604027615094804&z=14 Respect to whoever made it up
  2. As a cornishman I have to say they were only pretenders anyway....it's not an oggie it's a fecking pasty! 😂
  3. Can always be a bonus, im looking forward for instance to seeing dub war and then the damned both on during maccas headline on the pyramid....all the more so as itll only be people who are `really` into the music and ill be able to get down the front etc.
  4. whats wrong with glassjaw? still have siberian kiss and pretty lush on my playlists. good energy
  5. Sounds ideal. I may do similar
  6. Thatll be ace....what slot are they in then? Just filling right in where wargasm were?
  7. Sweet, defo one added to my list
  8. Quality over quantity....those who would have made it like me (really not bothered about macca for reasons I've detailed before) would have been fully into the music and going for it
  9. Id heard of dub war before but couldn't think where from ...then I loaded up a vid....benji from skindred? That's him yeah? That'll be a good set, man definitely knows how to get a crowd moving ....Newport helicopter!
  10. They could do with finding a replacement seeing as they were one of the only token heavy acts at the fest....pretty sure there's plenty of UK heavy bands who would love the exposure?
  11. This may be interesting when the info is out ..any insiders got any info on what it could be?
  12. Dont think youll find anyone at glasto to rival a head of state pal haha.....does it offend you im opposed to the monarchy or something? you seem sore. gonna just be good to be away from all that shite
  13. I think Diana Ross miming is the last thing to worry about when your talking about a horde of sheeple paying homage to an octogenarian billionaire who doesn't care less for their cost of living crisis. Hope Glastonbury will be a nice escape from all the jubilee crap
  14. Just saw this..imagine if he hooked up with Ringo?
  15. I did this for Metallica when they headlined...ditched our group totally as I'm the only metal fan among them and got pissed in by rain while waiting but totally worth it to be down the front for one of my favourite bands on the pyramid.....probably my favourite Glastonbury memory in fact. You can't follow the group all the time at this fest or you'll miss so much
  16. Going down during macca gives a good chance of getting there when it's at its quietest...after macca will be another story lol
  17. You didn't read the post did you? I meant if you get down there while maccas on you will avoid the crush of people trying to get down there after
  18. Haha defo best for both....I'm gonna also love the fact a lot of the site 'will' be at macca as it means those like me who want to will be able to start their Saturday night hassle free getting down the se corner without a crush.
  19. Didn't say it would be crap at all. Certainly not that negative a tone, putting words in my mouth there buddy. Show me where I used the word crap?
  20. People saying you should see macca because it's last chance to see a legend etc....
  21. There are lots of artists who will never be seen again likely....doesn't mean I'd make a huge effort to see them above anyone else, I was never a massive Beatles fan anyway. It meant something to me seeing motorhead the year they were at the fest as they were one of my favourite bands and it was shortly before Lemmy passed but I'm not gonna see macca if I'm not a massive fan anyway just because of his name....never got that attitude....lots of artists are 'legends' doesn't mean we all have to be fans or see them if given the chance just because of that.
  22. Not saying he's shit....but he's clearly past his good performance days. Your not gonna get Beatles era macca , your not even gonna get macca solo at his best macca.....as for yungblood his show will be good and full of energy, which is what I'm after that stage of the day.
  23. The prices people are willing to pay to go `glamping` rather then just stay on site always shock me.....you could literally go on an a decesnt overseas holiday for the money your shelling out to stay in what is essentially a shed with a bit of bedding in it.......
  24. Thing a lot of people forget is it matters just as much if its a dry or wet runup......as its when the ground is already saturated and then it rains again that it cant soak in and then the site turns into a mudbath pretty quick aka 2016.....im in the south a couple countys over and its predicted bone dry here all week at the mo....so heres hoping that part of things stays the same
  25. Im not one to follow the herd or go and watch someone just because of `who` they are, beatle or no beatle..... ive seen recent maccas live stuff and you can barely hear the guy at times.....again not his fault hes getting on in years as we all are but when theres so much other choice happening around the site do i really want to watch a poor version of past glories over any of it just because of what hes done in the past? Will probably be at yungblud for the first part of the set anyway. And then make my way to the se corner for a mental saturday night while everyone else is watching macca so avoiding the mass scramble when its over
