  1. I've not read through all the comments on here so apologies if this has already been said, but I think try not to be pressured into doing the festival a certain way (she says, definitely not taking her own advice...). There's a lot of pressure to be doing the most and be having the most fun all of the time for 5 days straight and sometimes that's not how it pans out. If you prefer to do 3 days rather than the full 5 and are comfortable with the cost then go for it, but don't chuck the towel in all together thinking that it's got to be all or nothing 🙂 x
  2. I sound like a right misery on this thread! I swear I had a great time overall 😂
  3. This is interesting because I went to see Little Simz and didn't think she was all that great! Now I want to caveat that by saying that (a) I'm a massive fan so had high hopes and maybe set the bar too high in my head, and (b) I've seen her before when I thought she's been incredible, but something about that headline slot wasn't gelling for me. Maybe it was too much off the new album and leaving all the big well known songs to the end? Maybe it was where we were standing because I wasn't that impressed with the sound... something didn't quite hit for me though. Such a shame because I was so ready to love it!
  4. Not necessarily a massive regret but I ended up spending way too much time in SEC again - same as every year! This was my 5th glasto and every year I have the best intentions to go down the rabbit hole, explore crows nest etc. and have a night that doesn't end up in the naughty corner and this year was no exception. Got swept along with mates who were all hell bent on heading over to IICON or shangri la. Still had loads of fun but I wish I'd ticked some more things off my glasto bucket list. I also definitely couldn't go as hard this year as in previous years, or at least I needed more rest than usual. I beat myself up over not being able to do everything and got in a bit of a funk - I wish I'd been a bit kinder to myself. It's hard though when we've been away form the farm for 3 years and every time you go could be your last!
  5. Thanks, it's fine. It's not actually my local postie anyway, it's back in my parents' (very rural) village. My dad apparently knows him which is why I think he felt he could sign and post through the door. All's well that ends well 🙂
  6. Update: You were right! Tickets posted through door by lovely local postie who signed for them himself. Dog successfully cornered and distracted with treats before he noticed the letter. Panic over!
  7. Ahh thank you that's made me feel slightly better. Parents did say they were likely to be out this morning as well so really hoping that's what's happened and they've just been posted through the letterbox. Now to hope the b*stard dog doesn't eat them haha
  8. My tickets have been updated to say they were delivered to my parents house but the signature looks nothing like either of them! Does anyone know if the postie will sign and mark delivered if they leave a card?
  9. My tracker has been updated today to say that the tickets were delivered to my parents house and were signed for...but I don't recognise the signature as anything even remotely like my parent's initials or names etc.... Have seen so many horror stories about people losing their tickets this year and not getting any help. Time to sweat 😬
  10. I really cannot express how much joy these updates bring me! Perfect reading with a cuppa. Thanks for your hard work @deebeedoobee
  11. I think it might be a new one this year! But if I'm wrong would also be keen to find out what kind of vibe it is from those in the know
  12. Yeah completely agree with you on all counts! Barbster genuinely seems to love Glasto and I don’t begrudge him anything! As you say, it’s the other influencers that don’t have a clue but get free tickets but basically waste opportunity that grind my gears
  13. He’s the brother of another famous YouTuber 🙄 I think the Manor House vlog was the one I was thinking of… A real talent to suck the joy out of the best place on earth!
  14. Another vote for watching YouTube vlogs! And for Barbster, I love that him and his girlfriend actually “get it”. I’ve seen other influencer style vlogs where they literally come on site for a few hours during the day and then schlep off to a hotel at about 7pm. Makes me so mad that they get free tickets!
  15. Facta and K-Lone are also amazing producers and DJs, would highly recommend checking them out! I'm obsessed with K Lone's Zissou EP at the moment - https://k-lone.bandcamp.com/
  16. Anz is one of the most interesting producers out there at the moment imo! Check out her All Hours EP released on Ninja Tune. Last Before the Lights in particular -
  17. Massive congrats to everyone who had resale success last weekend! So so pleased that efesters seemed to have such good luck and pleased to see @crazyfool1is in! 73/75 is no mean feat. I was trying for friends on Sunday and didn't even get a look in at the booking page so was unfortunately unable to lend a hand trying for efesters. However, our group ended up being pretty successful in procuring the tickets we needed so happy days! With all that in mind, to those people who weren't quite so lucky I was gonna offer up the Glastonbury cheese codes for people to use. We usually buy a block a week or so from our local and I'm happy to send over my codes which will otherwise go unused to people still in need (assuming the competition is still running?!). Might not be great odds but it's something right? Just drop me a message and if I have a code available that I've not yet given out I'll ping it your way. Cheers and see some of you at the meet!
