I've seen them a lot over the years but their 2009 show was by for the most disappointing and "plodding thought the setlist" I've seen them. 2014 and 2018 were much better, fresher and vital in comparison. Humbug is my fav album but that tour was very hit and miss and showed Alex at his worst.

I like it, but Star Treatment was a much more ambitious, lush and grand album opener than this. Feels like a slower B-side to that second The Last Shadow Puppets album.

Yeah I think they'll be overclassed quickly if someone played after him. At Rock Werchter 2018 Nick Cave co-headlined with AM and put Alex & co to shame. After the thrilling show from the Bad Seeds, the Monkeys' set felt a bit... tame.

Other Headline maaaaaybe but I can't see him subbing in the daylight again. Also I'd pity the act coming after him. Remember seeing him at Werchter, co-headlining with AM who were playing after him. His show put AM's one to shame. Good that he decided to only do (2h+) headline shows this year.

Yeah Kendrick will probably be festivals 2023...

There's a lot of big stadium/huge arena tours that need to be announced in the coming weeks. Beyonce, AM, Rammstein, T Swift, U2 probably, RATM, ACDC probably, Depeche Mode, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran (see him doing something else this time around). There's even a rumored second Rolling Stones leg. Springsteen, Styles and Coldplay are locked but there's an avalanche of tours coming.

Nick Cave and The Bed Seeds pretty much "won" the festival season of 2022 for me.

Sobbed during I Need You at Primavera as well. It was right after him telling his boys were around. And much closer to the passing of his son. Gorgeous rendition too.

Remaining tour? The tour will start tomorrow. So if it doesn't go ahead, we probably will have to hear about that today.

Liam is far from big outside the UK. In Belgium he played for an hour under Pixies and Editors in a tent, 3 weeks ago. At Lowlands in The Netherlands, one week later, his tent was half empty too...

It's still a very low-key loungy wordy affair lacking any chorus. Sounds sweet enough, but not a 'hit single' or anything.
