I fell in love for Rock Werchter 15 years ago just because they book diverse. The run of Slayer - Jay-Z - The Verve - Neil Young - Moby on the main stage was magical. And what was the last truly big rock headliner that could headline Rock Werchter? Arctic Monkeys, who are around since 2005? 😅 The big new headliners are not to be found in what you call "rock". Good music is good music. I loved the 2020 set of headliners for instance. Going from The Strokes to SOAD to Kendrick Lamar to Faith No More to 21 Pilots to Pearl Jam. But maybe I am too naive to think that most people enjoy a lot of kinds of music.

Ok, you may be on to something, but wasnt it confirmed Tool will not be touring next year? I can actually see AF playing 2 dates in Spain too...
-
I woud love Jay Z to make a return to RW. His 2008 show is not only one of the best hiphop shows I have seen, but als one of the best shows I have ever seen at Rock Werchter.
-
QOTSA into AM is something you will see a couple of times this summer though (Opener, Rock Werchter). Can see them doing this combo at Glasto as well.
-
Why Tool? I thing the mirror/reflections are key.
-
I love to have a lot of variety between the headliners. (And between the editions of RW too, wich is why the current headliners arent doing it for me so far...)
-
The new hint screams Arcade Fire, right? The WE logo, Reflektor, Black Mirror.
-
I can see Rosalia playing after RHCP, a bit like Stromae playing after The Strokes / The War on Drugs.

Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 + Primavera Sound Madrid 2023

For Primavera? 😅 Why not book David Guetta while we’re at it. -
Guess we will know more next week.
-
I actually think its Queens before the Monkeys. Just like at Rock Werchter.
-
Sweet.
-
Can’t see an Opener headliner play the Barn actually. She’ll be subbing, I guess. Maybe before the Stromae - X combo or whoever is playing on Friday.
-
Bjork would be crazy. In a good way.
-
To be fair, that poster is even bigger than any 3 days of this years lineup. Kendrick, Blur and Depeche Mode are also a very expensive trio. That fake poster would hands down be the biggest lineup of the year if that one turned out to be true.
-
It is never going to be THIS stacked ofc.
-
Pulp into bjork into Kendrick. 😍 I cant believe this lineup though. It is way too stacked.
-
What. Those are polar opposites.

Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 + Primavera Sound Madrid 2023

If they have Depeche Mode, Kendrick Lamar and Blur on 1 lineup, then it’ll be hard to top that for me, lineup wise. -
We already got Muse from 2019 and QOTSA and AM from 2018. Plus Stromae with the exact same show on the same stage 2 years in a row. Let the remaining headliners be a but more unique please. (I say this as a fan of The Cure, mind.)

Only the first day yeah, but I loved the fest as a first time goer. Never saw so many good shows in such a short tineframe.

That playlist has enough headliners for 3 editions of Primavera Sound. It is only 3 days this year, not 6. -
I actually enjoyed The 1975 much more than I enjoyed The Black Keys when I saw them.

It all has to happen within the next 2 weeks. Tight.
