When they announce the stage times and splits they often just say "SPECIAL GUEST 16.00 - 17.00"

Always went on the Thursday first few years, not sure I was even aware it was open on the Wednesday until later on.

I know what you mean, they would have to be paid more than they would expect to earn doing a handful of other festivals across Europe. I could see that working on a countrywide basis, but Europe wide?

That said I'm still hopeful they do a few of their own dates while they're over here.

Think they'll still do sets up in the Park, but the JP is the obvious home for bigger names as they can close off the area when it gets full. Still annoyed that I missed the Killers because I stopped to buy a pint on my way over to the JP. They closed the gate a couple of people in front of us.

I left early on that Monday morning, battled through the traffic, got home, showered, cleaned up, had a cup of tea and ordered a pizza which arrived just as England were kicking off against Iceland… Ended up wishing I was still in the car park queue.

Look, let's just have a drink at the festival and see where it goes.

Think they can only do Friday so I've got them for early JP and then later in the evening WG.

I loved that Saturday too. Did Wold Alice, Madness, LSP, Art Garfunkel, Adele back to back and had a great day.

A run down of how may or may not pop up on the farm despite not being on the poster... Foo Fighters - Gigging Saturday and Monday but free Friday/Sunday. Perhaps not a full band secret set (but can't be ruled out) but I'd be shocked if Sprinty Dave didn't appear over the weekend in some capcity. Florence and the Machine - Is playing Euro festivals but nothing on the slate for the UK yet (Latitiude?) Seems a strong contender for this year's "secret set with one eye on a bigger slot next year" place. The 1975 - Rumours of a new album dropping on the Friday of GF and a secret set to launch it. Mumford and Sons - Well we know they were going to do something in 2020 so maybe they've been asked back? The cancelling of one of the chief banjo botherers might make it less likely. Chris Martin - It's when and where, not if. Just make your peace with him shuffling on stage during at least one set you're enjoying. Dr Dre - Just imagine...

It had stopped raining long before Coldplay, and they were really good that night.

Just looking up the 2007 lineup and trying to work out where I was and what I saw. Friday - no idea, pretty sure I watched Arctic Monkeys headline then the rest of it? God knows.... There are a few things I probably watched - Furries, Bloc Party... but can't say for sure. Saturday - I think I spent most of the day at the Other, there was a decent run (CSS - Klaxons - Babyshambles - Maximo Park - Editors - Iggy) and didn't want to move too much due to the shit weather. Vaguely recall popping over to the Glade to see !!! Sunday - Absolutely no idea, think I was broken by the weather and Saturday's overindulgence. Other than the Who I genuinely cannot recall where I wa sor what I did. Not a classic year.
