Things have definitely been getting a little tense on here last day or two. We need an announcement to calm everyone down.

The gig that started it all for me.

They weren't in camper vans, they were camping, so it was asking nicely for them to take and put up my tent and carry some booze in. I travel pretty light anyway so was able to fit everything else in my rucksack. In WV this year so there should be even less to worry about.

As long as you have understanding mates is fine. I've given them my tents and heavy gear to bring in the car previously (helps to remind them who usually sorts their tickets out) and just turn up with a backpack...

Done the coach a few times myself, it's absolutely fine. Why would you give up an opportunity to go for the sake of a few hours on a coach?

I'd be surprised to see Noel anywhere other than under Macca. Very much Primal Scream into the Stones.

Can you call a festival "Forwards Thinking" then book the Chemical Brothers to headline?

Problem will be with Macca is that you can't imagine a huge amount of crowd churn between sub and headliner, there won't be many people watching Noel and then leaving before McCartney. If anything Noel's crowd will most likely be boosted by folk wanting to get a spot.

The time slots in @kingcrawler’s prediction are usually the correct ones so you’d have close to an hour to get from Pyramid to Other. Which is plenty of time.

Just had this email from the Florence mailing list…

Those Friday options would be a whole lot of ‘meh’ for me. I’ve seen Foals, Primal Scream, Manics and Specials, and they’re all acts I’d happily watch during the day and enjoy but not one of them excites me as a headline prospect. Which is why I’m so desperate for Little Simz to have that Friday slot. If they were the choices I would just end up going along with whatever the majority view from my group was.

That Macca/Simz clash can get in the fucking sea.
