Anyone wanting the indie / guitar scene needs to go to Truck - it’s only down the road from Reading too. I had a cracking weekend there with a great line up and good crowds

I saw them on the AM arena tour in Cardiff, 2013 - they were absolutely immense that night but I saw the 3 more times on the AM era tour and it was much more mixed (most likely due to the fact they were festivals as opposed to arena)

I was at Reading. It was a bit of a weird vibe with people around me only really screaming the AM tracks. Also Arabella is a mid-set song (at best) not an encore tune. i had hoped for ACR and a few others to be pulled out the bag following the recent interview saying they would ‘shuffle the deck’ for R&L - it was basically the same as the other tour dates so far. also slowing down do me a favour and cornerstone (already slow!) was a bit frustrating

Are there any taxi ranks each day outside the site or shuttle buses? im tempted to go but don’t think I can hack a consecutive weekend camping after truck fest. Would need to be a hotel job

They have just come off the back of their first number one album and a successful arena tour including the o2. They subbed at Tramlines so could slot in with a Potential sub or Thursday headline slot?

I would love to see Jamie T but I’m not sure how extensively he will tour. He barely did any festivals on Trick and he did Glastonbury this year. i think the wombats would go down a storm and could take a headliner spot. maybe Royal blood could come back and honour their previous booking? Not a headliner but would love DMAs on next years bill

Had a cracker of a fest. Was my first visit and would return if the line up was really strong. Kasabian were class and serge brings the energy but I still find it hard to separate it from the old kasabian. Other highlights were Blossoms, Yard Act and Sam fender. I really like how it’s quite easy to get good spots at the stages but the security is a bit inconsistent with approach to booze and other policy. i camped in zodiac and was underwhelmed - it felt pretty rammed and there was 16 shower so they had fat queues. I ended up showering at 2am each night. Toilets were okay at best and that’s being kind. we left the campsite at 8am on Monday and we left with no traffic so can’t complain!

I have just come on here to say the same. Bonkers approach. If they don’t allow drug testing services like the loop on site then they should advocate harm reduction. People will do it regardless. this post coupled with the booze limits gives me a bit of an iffy vibe from the fest its my first visit to truck and I wasn’t intending on bringing any drugs but have seen the impact of dodgy drugs at festivals

I think the 24 cans or 2 bottles of wine is a bit of a joke surely they don’t police this? Haha

I love Courteeners and have seen them on their last two visits to Bristol as well as Heaton park and the cricket ground but they still tour fairly small venues and haven’t broke the arenas - not sure they are headliner but would love them to get a crack

Do you think we’ll hear a new album this year? Brandon: “You will hear singles this year. The full record will probably be early next year, but there will definitely be more releases this year.” things could well work out with the Killers next touring schedule too if an album drops early next year…

I was there too. Was really surprised at people having no clue who he was. Rightly got a few “this lads alright isn’t he” from the crowd. the stones are a bucket list band so sort of expect a Hyde park gig to be like that - still a good evening

Essential the sample I was testing wasn’t changing colour at all. They advised: “This is surprisingly common at the moment due to batches of brown, rocky crystals of caffeine being sold as MDMA. They will usually give a very faint yellow with Liebermann but this is sometimes not visible. You can test your reagents using things like aspirin and paracetamol, to be sure.“

I heard they aren’t going to be on site this year so I bought a test kit from reagent-tests.uk it came next day and I would advise it as some of my stuff… was fake! they also responded to my query over email about the test results and advised on the amount of fake stuff flying around

I can vouch for Darble. Camped there since 2015 and wouldn’t change it. Love the space and don’t mind the 40 minute walk from SW corner - if anything it helps sober you a bit before trying to sleep

In 2019 my friend got a number through a friend and arranged to pay for a lift from a pub. when he turned up at the agreed location (a pub), it was rammed full of people with all their stuff and hoping to do the same. Occasionally a Land Rover would come and it would be a bit of a scramble to get in. He was there about 7 hours and people were starting to get frustrated so arguing and fighting started and the pub called the police. One more Land Rover turned up and had one space so my mate managed to pounce and jump in… As they drove off the police were arriving in the background and the lucky sod got in and had a great weekend

I hope they turn up. I haven’t seen them before and been a fan for many years now

I saw Foals at Cardiff Castle and All Points East last summer and both were class. The other stage headline set is going to be electric
