  1. Yes same here. Couple of terrible wet snow days though. 88547 steps for me. I did push myself on those dismal days, otherwise would barely make the 70 Ks I think. I've been a bit lazy with the upper body work outs. I was supposed to help move the rubble at the back of my house but my lower back/hips started to hurt quite fast so didn't do so much. I've now put the dumbbells next to the couch as a quick reminder that I can watch TV while doing a couple of shoulders and arms exercises.. Looking at my active zone minutes, last year's monthly bet was 2300 mins. I am now at 1700 for January so although I doubt I can make it that high, I am hoping to get to 2000 and more.

    Rosalia

I have Spanish friends who told me about her. Given the popularity of Spain as a holiday destination for the Brits, maybe that's something? Or are holidaying Brits in Spain not that much into the local culture? Who am I to judge or imply anything?
  3. Ouch. GOod shoes do go to shoe heaven at some point! My superstars tend to die at the back and render them unwearable. Horrendous weather here today, snow then pissing rain. But we just got a container delivered which means at soon as this stops, it's moving a massive pile of concrete from the backyard to the front. Upper body workout, here I come!
  4. And then I get through, select the cheapo 50 quid tickets and then it says "sorry not available after all but lucky you you can have some at 300 a piece !๐Ÿคฃ
  5. You can use TUne my music to copy a playlist from let's say sp0t1fy to another service. Works quite well!
  6. Ha! 10 mn into the sales of the Madonna tickets, new show added... Predictable. Lovely system: it's my turn until... I have to join the queue again... And then it bugs. Seetickets ain't that bad after all... (more for the curiosity than me really wanting tickets, I know, not nice for people who really want tickets)
  7. True. Same than the Dutch, there IS a word, it is just mostly implied indeed. So half correct. Still find it mildly rude and force my better half to add the magic word once in a while because it was ingrained in me from a young age that you have to say PLEASE when you want something ๐Ÿ™‚ On the other hand the "sorry sorry excuse me oh so sorry thank you so much " in the uk when getting bumped around at a gig does not sound very convincing...
  8. Indeed! It was ok enough, I love a good post apocalyptic show, but I wasn't wowed overall. I am going to have a mental comparison running with Station Eleven though I'm afraid. Seeing Anna Torv was a nice surprise though and I like the main actor. Can't remember where I know him from though.
  9. 2013 too and I went digging and paid exactly 100 Euros for each show. I guess with inflation it would be much higher now though. Venue of 1500 . I am pretty sure we were on the left end side of that pic on the balcony for one of the shows! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ .
  10. This. Just went for a round, a lovely variation called 'slightly dodgy neighbourhood" . Instead of the "houses I can't afford" round".
  11. I'm guessing about 100 quids X 2 to see two Prince shows in one evening . In a relatively small venue. Very worth it.
  12. I am definitely in 3 now. Maybe run differently? As in less kms but faster? It's got something to do with how your body burns calories depending on heatzones I think. As in walking 10 kms will burn less calories than running 5 or something like that.
  13. Indeed, I'll rephrase: a curveball I like ๐Ÿ˜› . Or another curveball for us to argue about. (honestly I don't care, there will be enough in the rest of the line up I'm sure)
  14. hence the curveball wish. I am not going to be wowed when/if the Arctic Monkeys get announced. I want a real surprise ๐Ÿ™‚ At this point though I am quite open to who that would be, as long as it's someone we thought was low on the possible list.
  15. Yeah I need a curveball announcement... A real good Glasto Fuck Yeah! announcement... MADONNA! MADONNA! Come on Madge, it's now or never! You don't need the cash anyway!
  16. Your daughter broke your wrist? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
  17. 25573. @Alvoram are you keeping up? (apologies to all for the quite uninteresting post). @blutarsky sorry to hear that ๐Ÿ˜ž Baby coming + body pains must combine in quite some stress?
  18. One of the packages in Amsterdam says that "you can have a picture of yourself on the stage before the concert". 900 quids.
  19. I am guilty of scoffing at facebook/reddit/etc comments like that. "Amateurs..." And no I am not proud of it.
  20. Any excuse to move (and to procrastinate work, for me) is a good one. I offered to bring some parcels to the post this morning just because of that.
  21. Just went for my next couch to 5 k run, and neighbour asked me "trying to lose the Xmas kilos". And what do you mean exactly by that sir ?๐Ÿคจ (3.9 kms but with shorter and shorter breaks, getting there!)
  22. Starting it up right now... Is that Coldplay? That IS a weird one. And thanks for the Margo Price heads up, that's next after B&S.
  23. I am trying not to read Last of Us posts as I haven't watched it yet. Looks promising though! Yesterday was Happy Valley day and I have to think it was funny how I thought how British cops were brave to go and do a big arrest without armed support... until almost retired Super Robocop Sergeant Cawood tackled and punched that young lad like a 6 nation champ ๐Ÿ˜. Go Catherine ! Go Catherine!
  24. Got on the scale this morning and no change in weight in the past couple of weeks. BUT with the running I did I feel leaner/tighter, some of the muscles that were hurting at first don't hurt anymore and my resting heart rate has progressively gone down. This tells me I've been building good muscle and fitness overall.
  25. Oh wow i am just wondering if the people who think the 69 moon landing was a fake take the TV show as a proof it can be done. Slightly tempted to go and do some dark and scary internet browsing.
