  1. I suggest you check what facilities the van includes, to be clear. I'm assuming the panel keeps the leisure batteries (1 or 2?) charged, so you'll be fine using lights and charging phones, and even quick showers. I'm assuming you'll have USB sockets for charging, or are there cigarette sockets / hella 12v sockets to plug into? Our fridge is 3way, (gas, 12v, 240v), but runs the batteries down to the cut off switch in hours if left on 12v. However, it's from 2005 so who knows what new stuff can do. I'm assuming the fridge will run on gas though. There'll be a screen inside that can show the battery charges so you'll know if they're running low and should be left to charge via the panel, which I think will be 100w, plenty enough for the week.
  2. £200ish for 2 tickets to see Tom Waits on the Glitter and Doom tour in Edinburgh, in a 'may never have another chance' impulse. A pearl of an evening, including Cemetery Polka. Cheers Tom.

    Campervans

No, but pitchup and searchforsites should show some spots or farmers' fields to use, I use them for general overnight stops.
  4. I'm not aware of any entry for campervans except for Pylle Road off the A37, and I think those roads will be closed to non residents, or not be used to get to the fields. We come from the North, from the Frome direction, past Shepton Mallet, down and turn right into the entry point. Re tents, yes, you'll be able to fit that in. We've had 2 medium tents between our vans, have a word with the parking stewards before you park up to see what room you can have, within reason. If it's your first time in a van, hello! And I'd suggest bringing some trolley or roller carrier for the water supplies from the taps around the fields, decant liquid from glass into plastic. You'll also receive a pass out each time you leave the festival, keep that to hand back in when you re-enter, otherwise you'll be stopped for questioning as it's an extra security check.
  5. I think Wild are going to restart with some of the existing staff. I don't have the details but heard it off a brewery that's listing all the closures in 2022. Edit. Sorry, it's weird beard that's continuing.

There's never been a check to stop people buying multiple CV tickets, albeit one at a time. If you enter the lane going down to the gates at the same time (helps to have 1/2 and 2/2 showing in the front) you'll be able to easily show you're together and use the 2 tickets under your name. You won't have a problem because you're with both vehicles.
  7. I was there for the 2016 holding area, it was flat, with tarmac roads, toilet block(s), possibly showers, seemed fine for camping but I've not been back since. I don't know what the shuttle duration is though. With your trolley, if you get it to gate A (the shuttle drop off point), there should be a lock up nearby where you can leave it each night and pick up each morning. If there's a queue, one of you heads off with your daughter and the other gets the trolley. If you don't need it in the morning, still pick it up from Gate A and drop it off at a more central location, for when you do need it. I'm kind of overthinking it here, but you get the idea.
  8. They will still get the ticket with their details, but I'd get them to check with Seetickets about whether this pass will be sent with their festival tickets. That's what it's designed for, but it depends if anyone built in checks on different addresses for festival v CV tickets. Quark got my ticket in 2019, and Whisty yesterday, on their respective cards, so used their own billing details Any details/memories of the process @whisty @Quark
  9. CV Tickets come out with the name (possibly address) and registration number that was used to buy the CV ticket - ie your mate's. It will then arrive with his festival ticket. Are you both using this cv space or just you? If just you, then he will need to be in the van when you enter the cv fields on that first time, or previous Seetickets rules meant you could ask them to transfer this CV ticket to you, if you are both in the same group of 6 that got the festival tickets in October.

Publication, if anyone wants something lyrical for Christmas. @Zoo Music Girl I hear from HMV that you got tickets? Great news!
  12. Is there still a risk of multiple people being able to each process payments for a ticket for the same person, or is it controlled like the registration number in the general sale? I have a group of friends trying for 4 tickets for 4 vans, and we don't want to end up with 5+ tickets if Seetickets doesn't have a check system. We will be talking via IMs on progress, but it would be good to know if it's changed from when I last tried. Thanks.
  13. I think they all went on the first day, but there were multiple resales in dribs and drabs, often publicised on here. Good luck.
  14. The stewards just look at the ticket and photo, and then you, to check the ticket's legit, and that it's you. If your wife takes a photo ID with her maiden name, if she looks a lot different from her photo, that will be OK. 99.9% of the time, no ID is needed. Don't lose your pass out though, that is a whole other world of pain if you do.
  15. For Nationwide, once you make the payment, the vendor contacts your bank for approval (you get a message via the app), you open the app, click on the 'Yes, I'm making this payment' window that appears, continue to login in to your bank app, then click the 'Go back to seller' button to complete the approval. So, this is going from your laptop, to your phone, and the laptop Web browser will refresh to confirm your tickets. 👍🏻🤞🏻
  16. I'm heading back more often to the council gym with a discounted membership (bonus!) with MrsCJ. Swimming tonight, and yoga with my eldest on Thursdays. I want to be healthier for 51 weeks, and a streamlined festival goer, effortlessly getting through the crowds for 1 week. Dropping 2" waistline is the goal. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

He was an absolute star that night, so gracious with his time and attitude. He did a 'best mates' pose for me.

I'll ask him on the Red Hand Files on how to downsize effectively and what furniture removers they're using.

I am sooo jealous. I'm off for a hair cut, which would be 10 minutes without a conversation!
