  2. This mornings cheery thought for you. Ever wondered why when it rains after a dry spell there is the aroma of cow in the air. And the dust tastes slightly "grassy". With the amount of slurry and animal activity on the farm, there is a good chance that a percentage of the dust that you breathe has been through a ruminant. " You're welcome. Happy Sunday.

  7. no, but I will see a number of on site workers over the weekend and will ask for any updates on anything relevant.
  8. please don't be a c**t and ignore road closed signs. Locals use them to get to work / school / life. Each year multiple c**ts block those roads by being too important to use the official routes, that are there for a reason. Every time some c**t does it and annoys locals, it increases the pressure on the council approval of the license aspects for transport. please don't be a c**t.
  9. they don't mean anything really, it is just an alternative to the endless weather chart porn. I just tell you what is actually happening in Pilton (as opposed to Yeovilton etc) and add some random stuff. Spoiler alert - it will all be OK, weather happens every day and pretty pictures won't change anything.

  11. and that is all me and herself try to do with our inane ramblings each year😊.
  12. ignoring the entitled attitude some have that it is some else's job to clean up after them, the litter pickers will pick them up and they still go to recycling. If you have been in the vicinity of a lithium fire, you would know how bad that gets quickly. Can't put it out, burns really hot and will ignite anything nearby. It spits hot sh*t everywhere (technical term). A fire at recycling would probably need site evacuation.
  13. I like pictures so I don't really care as long as people realize the utter futility of comparing weather. it is weather not conditional probability.
  14. that sort of talk belongs in the science thread where they seem to think that what happened last year has any relevance to this year. Apples and aircraft carriers being compared.

  16. the thinking may be that disposable vapes have been linked to a huge increase in fires at recycling facilities. Lithium battery fires can't be easily put out, they probably would appreciate their recycling shed not being burnt down. Disposable means people put them in bins.
  17. FYI - the bin painters have been told that the crew bars will be very limited on giving out paper bands this year. Expectation is they will be hard to get.
  18. pound and a half brick hammer should do it. don't forget to upgrade the pegs though, a cheap wire peg will just bend if you skelp it.
  19. Last year was Arlo, Gabe is new contributor this year. Arlo has provided content as well.
