  1. Definitely. Prime IOW sub, or in this day and age, possibly even headliner.
  2. The new Turnstile album slaps. Can see me playing the hell out of it just like I did the last. In a similar vein but one that will probably fall under the radar for a lot of people, The Bronx released a new album today and it also absolutely slaps. Highly recommend for those in to their more radio friendly hardcore punk a-la Turnstile.
  3. Whilst playing arenas? Ehh I doubt it. I just don’t think they’ll be booked. ‘Greatest hits’ tour or not, when was the last time anybody seriously gave a shit about this band? Will be arenas full of mums and their children who didn’t know what to get them for Christmas.
  4. Lovely little tune this one:
  5. Turnstile are playing the one day that seems outrageously busy for me personally so I’m kinda worried they’re gonna get caught up in a huge clash, but yeah they’re ace and I very much want to catch them. Not heard the new album yet but the last one has been played repeatedly since it’s release.
  6. Only reason I can possibly see Dua taking the lower slot next year is if they’ve already got Taylor back for ‘23 (I’m assuming she’s not back next year what with Billie being in the picture - sorry) and so she’s gotta wait out her headline slot regardless. After years of us not having too many likely female headliners ready to step up, we’ve suddenly found ourselves with an influx. Good shit.
  7. ‘Do you want to sub next year when you’re literally not playing any festivals, or wait a year and headline the thing along with all the other festival headline sets you’re undoubtedly doing?’ Hmm I wonder.

    Kendrick Lamar

This is pretty damn good. Never heard Baby Keem before but I dug his verses/the whole song, and Kendrick actually went off rather than phoning it in. Good stuff:
  9. Tbf Kanye’s got a history with actively associating himself with pieces of shit. Obviously the Chris Brown feature on Waves (which was unfortunately fire), and he’s constantly seen with ASAP Bari who has a multitude of cases against him. Also defended Bill Cosby. Not sure exactly what Kanye thinks he’s proving but he’s been doing this shit for a while now.
  10. Fully expecting a Manson feature to crop up on this album now. Guh.
  11. YEAH FUCK YOU GUY SHE DIVORCED FROM! Not a full swerve in to pop and very much still got that country edge. This is great.
  12. I 100% only care about this Halsey album because of Trent’s involvement so fingers crossed it’s good and she can win me over. Always been pretty eh on her other stuff. I’ve no doubt that Kanye’s album isn’t coming out today but the listening event is being held right now so pretty sure the plan is still to release it today (until Kanye changed his mind again immediately afterwards).
  13. So much good stuff out today: Kanye (lol), Chvrches, Turnstile, Big Red Machine, Indigo De Souza, Steve Gunn, and probably a bunch of other shit I’ve forgotten about/don’t know about yet.
  14. Yeah didn’t think the next one would be too far behind given the quick release of the album. Guessing this one will be more of a traditional single/banger.
  15. He later went on to say he always feels that way immediately after shooting one due to the stress that surrounds it, although yeah, I’ve no doubt that one ginormous final payout has a lot to do with why he decided to come back for another one.

    ABBA

Is this what it actually is or just a guess? Now you’ve mentioned it I can very much see this being just that, and people would absolutely eat it up, but would be a crap result.

    ABBA

Assuming it’s new material, I’m pretty damn interested to hear what ABBA 40 years later sounds like. Not expecting it to be brilliant or anything, but they’re a band very much associate with a particular time so modern music from them is a wild concept. Here’s hoping it’s not complete crap.
  18. After the initial hype I kinda cooled it on the last single and came to the conclusion that it was just alright, but this is a certified banger.
  19. First I’m hearing of this but that would’ve been pretty wild, although obviously not something the studio would ever go through with so not surprised he was let go. Bond can’t die - he just changes faces constantly.
  20. The Bloefeld thing was absolutely terrible. Love Christophe Waltz but his entire presence in the film was crap through no fault of his own. Just plain bad writing. And I think Craig hates everything that comes with being Bond (strenuous stunts, promo tour etc) rather than the character itself. Don’t think he’s gonna noticeably slog his way through this one or anything - it’s all down to the writing. Director is the same guy who directed the entire first season of True Detective which was some of the best TV of the decade so that gives me some hope. I’m going in to it with pretty muted and prolonged expectations anyway so hopefully it’ll be a pleasant surprise.
  21. Yeah, as is tradition with Bond, Craig’s tenure as him has been very up and down film to film. Never captured the magic of Casino Royale since imo, although hopefully we’re due a good one for his final outing.
  22. God I love Pinegrove. This is so good:
  23. Man, I was really excited about that two years ago…
