IOW Solo ???

Hi

Did Glastonbury solo last year, although I’d been the previous 4 years.  I’m already depressed I’ve got no festival to look forward to in June - so how would I get on at IOW? Are people just as friendly? Can you take beer in like at glasto? Any other advice.  

It’s a bloody long trek from Staffordshire !

is it best to take my car to the island or leave it at a port in the UK

Haven't done a Glastonbury and this is my first IOWF but have done other festivals including Bestival when it was on the island a couple of years ago always found it a friendly atmosphere, guess taking your car all the way gives you more freedom to take more with less carrying, you can pre book the car ferry if it gets busy, Like most festivals you can take alcohol into camping site but not into the arena.

From personal experience I would say not to be put off by doing a solo festival, done a fair few now always found a good group and haven't regretted any of them
