Hi,

Sorry if this has already been asked but I can't figure out how to do a search.. its probably right in front of my eyes!

Anyway my boyfriend has had to send his driving licence off as he got a speeding fine and its unlikely he will get this back before Glasto. Do you need to bring ID to get in / buy drinks or can your ticket be used as your ID? Sorry never been before and I'd rather he didn't bring his passport so wanted to check what the situation was.

Thank you

Amy

Your face on your ticket is your ID for getting in, but I think the bars are pretty strict on ID-ing (I'm nearly 40 and I've been asked for ID a couple of times in the last few years) so I'd say if he's under 25 or looks under 25 he'll definitely need something. Best idea would be to bring the passport, get the Challenge 21 wristband and then leave the passport safely in the lockup.

Alternatively get a CitizenCard, although they cost money, and he probably hasn't got any left after paying the increased insurance premiums now he's got a speeding fine on his licence... ;)

Its a Challenge 21 event but most people who look 25 or under will get nailed

I think the oldest guy I asked was 43 but he did look far younger - he was chuffed but he did have his ID with him - as soon as he spoke I knew he was well over 18.

I think Challenge 21 is misleading and really it should be Challenge 30 so everyone knows where they stand

frontline servers are told not to take any chances and most wont.
