Camp Loner / Going Alone

Recommended Posts

Just realised that there's no Camp Orange entrance/exit, so getting to and from Tesco is going to be a fair chunk more difficult than I realised before! Nightmare!

I wonder why there's no orange gate this year? Maybe because they've reworked the day ticket/green entrance?

For food, Waitrose and Aldi are a 5-10 min walk from red gate (green may be easier so you don't have to walk through red and it looks like green gate comes out right next to red gate). There's normally a few stalls just outside red gate selling beer, (cheaper) firewood and pizza (all the essentials).

Edit:

Just looked at the map closer - they've whacked a supermarket where orange gate would be situated, so looks like they're trying to keep you on-site rather than going to tesco.

I saw the market thing, I figured it'd probably wind up a fair bit more expensive than Tesco, Waitrose or Aldi. I'll probably just wind up bringing a bit with me to save having to do a journey straight away :P We'll work it out! And like has been said, we're near the middle and it'll be an amazing time no matter what!

I'm only planning on doing one booze/food run to Tesco, no biggie for me on the Thursday.

I'm 100% going out to the Tescos to get my booze, water and food on the Wednesday, the crowds are too much from Thursday onwards.

Anyone wanna join me on this one?

I do have one from last year, I can't remember what state it come back in though or if it's all there! I will double check tonight.

If we do need to get one, there's loads of places there that sell them there or c+c to tesco.

There is going to be some mad scenes an horrible faces pulled when My Nu Leng drop sounds like this

I am extremely puzzled at oneself for not placing My Nu Leng among my 'To See' list...

I believe I may have just committed a cardinal sin

    • Avril gets above GC on rarity (see Cypress Hill this year). She drew in something like 70,000 at Glastonbury, so much so that they had to close the field off. I’d wager that she would get the biggest crowd of the entire weekend if she was to play DL.
    • We've reasonably predicted/wanted a bill of Blink, Avril, Good Charlotte for a while 😅    I'm surprised that Good Charlotte's UK shows in November seem to be doing well atm... obviously if they sell out those venues then they should be subheadliners right? (if they play download that is). They'd only look a strong sub if it was before Blink though I rekn.

    • Well Jason Isbell is on blistering form for this run of European gigs, wonderful night in Bristol
    • I am also interested in this. I was looking for past years, and it looks like it has a limited capacity.  I would love to see Ela Minus, but I guess I won't be able to make it in time, unfortunately.
