So just a question, I'm 17 and i'm taking vodka to the festival. Rest of my alcohol is being taken up with 18 year olds so i've got 24 cans of beer in the bag which is good.

However i've got two water bottles filled with vodka in my bag, say if they search it i've used the whole "looks like it's sealed" cap trick.

Are they allowed to open the drink and smell it? I thought there was a rule that they could not open your drinks?

Is there a chance they'l kick up a fuss or will they not be bothered? Never been to T before so I don't know how strict they are!

I doubt they would be bothered. You would need to be very unlucky to find the one security guard who decides to search your full bag, discover the 2 bottles and then ID you.

In my experiance they are just searching for drugs, glass bottles and weapons.

Stick them in a sleeve of jacket or hoody when you pack them, you'll be fine

Seriously you should be cool, security was tough last year because of the green Rolex pils. Nothing like that this year so I doubt they will be mental this year....

I've just bought my 17 yo son a ticket. It's his first festival. I'll buy him some beer to take in today too. I doubt they'll stop him though, he's 6'6", built like a brick dunny and has a beard. I know I shouldn't but I still brick it that he'll be ok.

Mate it depends on your luck on the day, I walked in 2 yrs ago with 2 bottles of vodka in my combat pockets not even attempting to hide them n security didn't look twice!!
