Tescos near site

First time at T, one of my mates reckons that there is a Tesco's within ten minutes walk of the campsite which we can get our drink for the weekend in, is this correct?

Not to sure, but there's a small town centre that you can jump on a shuttle bus to. There's Tesco everywhere, so you're probably right.

10 min walk doesn't even take you out the campsite... There's a be chilled on site you can by in advance or I think it's a wee walk to the nearest shop, someone mentioned a shuttle bus in another post

How often do these buses run? Wouldn't mind gannin there to grab a few things.

Honestly no idea, I take everything I need or buy on site. But the other topic is 'shuttle bus' that might be able to help

as i was too late to get refresh i might also use the sainsbury's facilities, as I'd rather not use the portaloo's on site

There is a small supermarket in Kinross, not one with toilets and stuff though. They do keep well stocked with drink, but its a fair walk back to the campsite after getting it. If u want toilet facilities out with the campsite u should walk to the swimming pool in Kinross asthey have hairdryers and stuff...bout £4 I think to get in. Gets busy though.

You can buy a single use refresh ticket each day, it's only a fiver, but you can have shower, use the toilets, do your hair, make up, whatever, all on the one ticket.

They also do day tickets, but they only do about a hundred a day, so you have to go dead early for them, think they're about £12.

If you are coming from the South there is a big Sainsburys just off the motorway at J6. Its just at the very entrance to Kinross, round the big roundabout once you come up the slip road. In terms of distance, its probably a good 30 mins at least from the day entrance (never camped, stay close-ish) to the Sainsburys. We normally get our taxi pick up there on a Friday night. Its almost as far away from the campsite entrance as possible while still actually being in Kinross! No idea about shuttle buses as I usually get taxi/private bus but if one runs to centre of Kinross then its still a bit of a hike from there. Sure there is a David Sands still in the centre of Kinross but havent been in that way for years.

The swimming pool is actually classed as being in Milnathort, not far off Gallowhill Road
