going home on coaches.

Obviously the coaches there will be full as people have to use them to get their tickets, but im assuming a large percentage of coach ticket holders will make their own way home on the monday. Does this mean I may be able to get an earlier coach back to Birmingham by claiming one of the empty seats on an earlier one? Has anyone done this before and how strict are see about the times on your ticket?

Me neither, but a lot of people will only have bought coach tickets to make sure they got a ticket and will have friends there to give them a lift home. Im sure I heard about this happening a lot last year.

I have heard that last year some people were having to travel to places way out of their way just to get one of the coach ticket packages. I think there were some people from down south who had to pass Glastonbury and go way up north just to get one of the official coaches (with tickets given out on the coaches) just to have to head all the way back down south again. The same is probably true again this year. I'm not sure if paying for a return ticket is mandatory or not. If it is then I could see a situation whereby some people don't use their return ticket by opting to pay for travel back home again via the shortest route and not the convoluted one they came to the festival on.

Not sure if I've made sense of myself there.

Yeah, thats exactly what I mean yoghurt. Does anyone know if see would try to fill up empty seats on the coaches or do you have to wait until your alloted time even if there are spaces on earlier coaches?

I'd offer you a lift back to Birmingham early on Monday morning myself (as that's where I live) but the bums on the seats are fully accounted for now in my vehicle. Wishing you luck at getting an earlier departure.

Our coach back to Brighton was pretty full, except for a couple of seats. If they allow it I reckon you'll get on an earlier one as there are likely to be free seats at some point. Good luck.

I reckon it'll depend on the driver and how stressed they are/how willing they are to deal with extra stuff at that moment. Good luck!

Hoping for the same - have booked a coach to London at about 1pm but the law of sod tells me I'll be wide awake at 8am...just waiting in a daze
