First time at Glasto and getting giddier by the day!

Aiming to arrive some time on Tuesday afternoon, and just wondering if there's anything happening in Campervan West on Tuesday night.. is it just a case of chilling out with our neighbours?

Last time we got to the West CV fields quite late, so didn't do much beyond setting up a gazebo, having a quick wander around the campsite and getting stuck into our hoard of ciders. This year we are aiming to get there mid afternoon (can get in from noon), and may try and seek out the football somewhere (KO at 5pm). To be honest the Tuesday is fairly quiet, remaining in the CV field as the festival site isn't open till Wednesday morning, at which point you can wander down and get your wristband and enter the fray! On the Wednesday it's great wandering around, watching everyone setup, safe in the knowledge that you were setup the moment you pulled into the site the day before.

If you are planning on leaving the site to go to towna nd watch the football, does this mean I will be able to park up in a west car park, walk back to the main road and into the campervan fields?

It looks that way Cabaret..

How do our friends gain access to the campervan fields if they travel separately?

If your friends are arriving separately to your campervan or caravan they will not be able to gain vehicular access to the campervan fields (as only one car is permitted on the pitch). They will need to buy a car park ticket to park in the public car parks, or travel by public transport, and make their way to the campervan fields on foot via the pedestrian gates. If they are travelling to the East side they can walk directly from the car park into the campervan area. On the West side they will need to park in the car parks, then enter the site through the pedestrian gates and walk through the site to the West Campervan pedestrian gate.

Forgive if I'm being a bit dumb but does that mean you have to queue at the main gates Wednesday morning if you want to join friends in CVwest? whereas if it's CVEast you can stroll in Tuesday evening ?

    • Seems the addition of the Sun Stage area is interesting. Suspect this is the area where the Stage 4 used to be pre-2024. Looks as though they want to try create some space to keep people in amongst the arena post-headliners, rather than just crowds all descending back on the campsite entertainment at once.
    • 2000 Trees - 3 Day Tickets on Concert for Carers to buy (pair £15) sure they will not have them for long, I cant check if they are still available as it now says I have already bought tickets.
    • times and technology has changed , a pyramid headliner is often about the show thats put on as much as the music like it or not and as much as many would like to you cant really blame an artist for trying to get the best out of the set both for the audience in the field and for the cameras also ....
