Emperor Fields

Hi everyone. Looking for some info please as this is our first festival avec kids...

We booked, along with four other families and I'm wondering a couple of things...

1) are pitches assigned in emperor fields or can we pitch in any available space?

2) if pitches are assigned, can we ask to pitch next to our friends?

3) is there anywhere at the festival to get ice?

even if you're arriving later on the friday, if you head to the top of the Emperors (ie uphill) then if like last year you'll find enough space to pitch a large group together.

Yeah, last year emperors had pretty much doubled in size to previous years, gotta say though the emptiest site at the festival was family camping and quiet which were adjacent to eachother. You could have tipped up on the saturday morning and erected a tent the size of the calling out tent and still not got in anyone elses way !

Just a thought if you wanted to save some cash

Are the Emperor field tickets already sold out for this year, I can't seem to find them anywhere online?

They were on early bird for months, not sure if theyve just withdrawn them for now or if theyve fully sold out. They usually sell out in the first few hours of going on sale so its amazing they even stayed on sale as long as they did, specially with the payment scheme.

They also might have kept some back for when the line ups announced so it appears there are a full range of tickets available. I would suggest just to keep checking back

How do you get into the family camping? I am taking my 6 year old lad. I am sure he will enjoy himself a little bit more with other kids about.

Last year u just went to the family camping field instead of general camping. Didnt cost any more than general camping. Think they would have preferred more people in family an quiet coa they were empty compared to general campimg

Sold out according to their twitter but with very limited number going on sale 28th.
