I don't know if Take That would do it, but if they did I could see a Dance act to headline 4Music and maybe have jake bugg headline the arena but I doubt take that would do V. If they did I would like Robbie Williams to sub them ;-). Have they done any festivals ever? Even when Robbie was with them

I wouldn't mind a Take That headline, Mark Owen was great, he got everyone going when he did shine, he can really work a crowd

Did I? I assumed you meant "all music is pop music" as in "all music is popular", and my point was that heavy metal isn't particuarly popular, what was your point then

LOL, so Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Metallica aren't popular? Can I remind you that Black Sabbath had a number 1 album this year.

Bullet For My Valentine have had 2 albums in the UK top 10, and the other two placed at 11 and 21, with millions of sales worldwide. Iron Maiden's most recent album (2010) got to number 1 in 28 countries and debuted at number 1 in the UK chart.

How is having it's own festival a reason for it not being popular? There are Sonisphere (in multiple countries) and Download, which have, respectively*, capacities of about 30,000 and 120,000, which almost always sell out, or get incredibly close.

I could go on, but I don't think there is any need. Heavy Metal is clearly popular, just because songs like War Pigs aren't on MTV every day, doesn't mean it's not popular...
