Yeah but being an Icon doesnt mean I would go see the person. Rolling stones are Iconic but I would rather have seen Example and Chase and Status so I am watching Example now and I have recorded Chase and Status to watch later

I know they should be higher, and as I have already said in another post it was a first draft that I did last night. Where would you want to have Vampire Weekend play? so you would have to move someone down a stage. It was more a case of sorting the top 3 out for each stage, and then the rest was just balancing stages up. Yeah Vampire weekend are third on the Pyramid but alot of people have said this year the Pyramid doesnt have good music on it, and that the line up for it is shit. If I particularly dont like an act after the first bit of a few songs I wouldnt put them high on a stage (apart from Nick Cave because thetime wasnt happy with his placing on Poths list) Pretty much everyone on the other stages deserve to be where they are, you cant have the strongest acts all the way through the day on one stage so its balanced out by having acts that would normally be higher being placed lower. The fact that there are alot of good acts that wouldnt normally be on one line up makes it alot harder to put people in an order.

As for the DJ's I tried to contain them to one stage or headlining 4music where Guetta and Harris have/will play for V anyway so that dance fans would have their time to stick around one stage. It looks easy to throw a few names into a list but it was a mind numbing process, theres like 2/3 festivals-worth of acts to fit in one line up but I would buy a ticket for it

I dont think 75% of it is ludicrous, most of them could play in a similar slot if thats what the festival had. PSY opening main to get a big gangnam style going it would be great

Where would you suggest each of them play, as Vaccines are another type of band that wouldnt play lower than third on main, Florance and the Machine wouldnt play lower than sub really but on the Beyonce day Kylie co headlines, so that pushes whoever would sub down a slot.

I think Bastille could play the slot they are in, David Grey would be a nice start to the afternoon and Of Monsters and Men would be good anywhere really

    • Yes sorry for delay in replying! I'll message you when I put it on there. I think it goes live next week
    • Or-and I don’t care either way-she splits her 3 BST nights over two weekends leaving space for Glastonbury (raised eyebrow)
    • Good catch this. Used on the Main stage on Saturday like a really cheap alternative.   Cracking little day though. A few Belgian acts to start the day (Atomic Orchestra, Kids with Buns, Selah Sue), some UK/IE midsized bands to end the afternoon (Gurriers, Wunderhorse, Wet Leg) and then an evening of Deftones, Florence and Underworld.   Can’t wait to be there and (at least try to) make the most of it.
    • I would be surprised if they don't, given 2022 was the twentieth I imagine next year is going to be pushed as the 25th anniversary so having the most local big name artist possible headline seems natural. Maybe SFA are being saved for then too?
    • I’d be incredibly surprised if she was in the headline conversation at all. At best I could say a high Pyramid slot but I reckon maybe Other headliner against a rock act like Fender or even Other sub (where I have her in my predictions). I’d say Gracie Abrams is pulling similar if not better numbers to Tate and she was third down on the Other last year.
