Greenacres...

I stayed here in July, 2010 whenever I went on a trip to Somerset. Nice people - great free range eggs. Can't help you with your logistical question but it's a great spot to camp in general, although I'd have thought it was a bit too far away from the festival site if you were walking.

Hire a bike from the them! It's a great campsite, stopped there at the start of this month. It's probably a couple of miles when you take into account all the twists and turns but it is flat so depends how much you like walking!!

I'm doing a similar thing to you.

Driving down Wednesday, setting up at Greenacres. Taking all the big stuff I dont want to carry on the London Underground and Coach.

Getting a lift back home to London, then getting up Thursday and jumping on the coach to the festival, with just enough stuff for that day/night. Setting up my other tent then going to enjoy the day at the festival. I'll then have to get a cab to greenacres, spend the night there and then drive all my other stuff to the festival in time for the first band on Friday. Effort, but it's got to be done.
