The Horrors are Sunday headliners, and Enemy and Dan le Sac are supporting on different days. I'm a bit underwhelmed but optimistic that Tony Pikehall finds us some bigger names

horrors - headlining

the enemy - main stage support

ash - main stage support

dan le sac - quarry headliner

dry the river - quarry headliner

i'd imagine 65dos and we are the ocean are both 3rd from top main stage

good lineup - happy with 65days, max raptor, we were promised jetpacks, arcane roots, gunning for tamar. wouldn't mind seeing the horrors, surprised the enemy aren't headlining but glad this leaves space for a bigger name on the line up, will definitely check out the physics house band, rat attack and my first tooth too.

still the best value festival imo

^ Agreed ^

But last year we had The Wombats as the first headline announcement ! Think alot of people are underwhelmed with The Horrors considering the people who run Y-Not are so good at hyping an announcement but everyone should be optimistic about the other headliner. Bloc Party anyone ??

The Horrors are a great headliner! A lot of people around here are loving the announcements so far, and I live around half hour from Matlock :P

2 piece could be MGMT? New material, not sure if they're too big though, and I've heard they aren't great live.

Another headliner announced Sunday..

The Cribs as we said :P

Not sure about the other 3 bands not really listened to them. Lots of twats moaning on the y not facebook page saying it's shite. The Horrors and The Cribs headlining, and The Enemy and Ash supporting are massive for such a small festival, clearly don't know their music very well.

Saw The Twang last year they were awful. Not heard of the other two. I'm still happy so far... Can't stand The Horrors but love The Cribs, Dan le sac, dry the river, we are promised jet packs, and really chuffed with The 1975, they will be massive by the time Y Not comes round. Plus still another headliner to go :)

The Cribs are massive for Y-not ! they headlined Kendal Calling in 2011 and were amazing. If they truly have another headliner that's bigger than The Cribs then you are looking at the best valued festival of the year !!! But the Twang are shite :-/ bit let down with that.

Arghhh theres some right wingebags on the facebook page! I don't know how anyone can say its not good value for money. Yes there's a few bands I don't like playing (mainly The Twang & Horrors) but seriously there's plenty of other stages, just go and watch someone else! I'm still crossing my fingers for Hurts as the other headliner.

Reading comments on festival pages on facebook will be what tips me over the edge to go on a killing spree, between the Leeds fest "arctic monkeys or this is shit" and V fest "Beyonce isn't a headliner" and Y not "who are the cribs???" ... christ.

Y Not is a decent weekend with you mates for £80 regardless of the acts anyway, I would easily go without liking any of the headliners, because there is bound to be a decent act in the tents.

Yearbook are a prime example that I walked in on last year, never heard of them, stayed for the set regardless and thought they were incredibly good :P

Wonder when we'll get the last headliner? Fortnights time maybe?

Yeah totally agree. The way that I look at it is that most campsites in August charge £25 a night so 4 days normal camping with your mates is more than a Y Not ticket anyway and you don't have the added bonus of live music. Some of the best times I've had there are just wandering round the site and finding bands on the smaller stages. In fact we found a band we loved that much we've asked them to play our wedding!

    • Not my experience. I've always got the size I paid for.
    • Kind of crackers how fast this summer seems to be sailing by. But aye, must be some news soon!
    • I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.
