me and my friends are attending leeds for the first time, just wondering if we will be asked for i.d on the way in? as we will be having a crate each. also, what are the searches like at the entrance?

If you're getting there on Wednesday with everybody else, you could ask somebody to carry it in for you (that is assuming you're underage which you must be to be asking this question).

I got there on Thursday evening last year and wasn't searched at all, but it all just depends on how they're feeling at the time, so there's no way of telling whether they'll ID/search you.

if they decide to randomly search you then they might ask for id if you look younger than 21. on my way in the red gate in 2010 there was a fair amount of confiscated booze - mind you a fair amount of that was because it was glass bottles.

really depends. My friend had a bag full of cans and he was 17 and the security guard just said ' have a good time, looks like you will'. another got them taken of him but said he could have them back. As long as you do not bring in stupid amounts it will be fine.

Last year I had only just turned 16 a month earlier, they searched my bag, took out a crate of Stella, some budweisers, a litre of vodka and orange and a bottle of tequila... Then they give me it all back without even rasing an eyebrow, took out a deodorant can and told me that I can't take it onto camp because its too big and that it could be a health hazard.

My mind was blown

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.

    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
