All band's that were avalible for booking this summer, all playing festivals or support slots at stadium shows in Europe, or touring, very few repeat bookings from last year (I think only 2 played last year) and, what I think, is a decent mixture of acts without getting ridiculous. Feel free to swap in Kasabian for Green Day, if you believe Green Day would have been too expensive (Kasabian will be a great headliner anyway) but this is mainly about the undercard.

Think that lineup is a bit over ambitious - Kasabian are solid headliners tbh and The Prodigy and Chase & Status seem to be Download exclusives. Happy Mondays doing an inevitably half arsed reunion for cash doesn't excite me personally.

Do agree that even just a couple of those bands would make the lineup better - Franz Ferdinand, Rancid and The Specials on the main stage would probably have been enough to make me think 'the lineup is not shit'.

I know they said a while ago they were only interested in playing locations they hadn't played before, not sure if that still holds true, but it could account for, or at least attribute to the lack of Green Day.
