Went a couple of years ago when it was on a Saturday, it was lovely, great atmosphere and just right as a warm up for Glasto Not sure what it's like on a week day night, but i do love the stones, Avebury is also gorgeous if you've never been.

Going to a solstice at stonehenge is fantastic, being right next to the stones, it's fantastic. Avebury is lovely because you can walk round the stones all the time, but i've yet to do a solstice there. Will do one day.

Did a solstice at Avebury a few years back and it was great being able to freely move around the stones and visit the pub in the middle of the circle.

ill have a look at it when i drive past on wednesday- wont be stopping though, ill be far too excited for glasto.

ah its awesome! i cant wait to go! starts off the whole festival for me! the atmosphere is like you have never experienced, its amazing!

We are going there, and staying at Stonehenge Campground, so we can hopefully catch a few z's after the 4:40 AM party, before heading towards Glastonbury.

Then I'm straight off to put me tent up at Glastonbury.
