Innovative phone charging?

I've just bought a charger for my iPhone, it takes AA batteries. I've tested it out and you can get 2 charges out of 4 AA batteries. Got it from amazon it's called system-s battery adapter

I've just got a PowerMonkey Explorer which will give my (non-smart) phone 2 full charges. That and a couple of spare batteries should see me through the weekend no problem.

Edit: I was reading some science online which said that if a solar panel has any shade on any part of it it will affect the performance of the whole unit. So make sure you keep it fully in the sunlight as much as you can!

Did you have the solar panel strapped to the outside of backpack all day, and fed through to the power monkey inside your backpack, and then charge mob phone later, or was mobile phone attached to the powermonkey all day? Any pictures of it in use?
