Bank Fraud Detection

I booked our group tickets on Friday, as there are 11 of us I had to split it into two groups. Got a call from the bank today saying that they had noticed unusual activity on my account and had declined the payment for the second set of tickets, not sure why they allowed the first lot through.. Cue panicked phone call to see who were actually quite helpful. Very happy I didn't leave it till last minute to pay!

Same has happened to me but HSBC have now cancelled my card! I couldn't get through to See earlier, could you give me the number you called? Ta :-)

I had this happen last year, but thankfully the bank just contacted me and didn't cancel the pre-auth. To be honest I was grateful to the bank for noticing that I'd caned £1500 in online transactions in a 2 hour period (paid my glasto ticket, bills, bought a sofa and did my tesco shopping) and contacting me to check it wasn't fraud.
