Right well as soon as me and my brother seen the creamfields lineup we thought thats got to be one we need to attend, only thing is we are completely new to any festivals and from Scotland. So I was wondering whats it like? Are there any buses etc from Scotland going down that anyone may know? Is it best to camp or are the rumours about robbing etc true? Whats security etc like? When do the Djs play to and from?

I'm basically asking for all the information a newbie like myself won't know about!

Any replies are appreciated!

I wouldn't believe everything you read about last year. This year will be my 10th Creamfields and. although I don't camp, i've always felt pretty safe. Yes, theres a scally element but that's the same everywhere nowadays.

Don't take anything you can't afford to lose, don't walk around on your mobile or with your cash flashing making yourself a target, don't wander the dark areas of the site alone at silly o'clock. Do use common sense and DO have a great time!! :D

You always tend to hear more negatives than positives, people for some reason people don’t rave on once they’ve had a great time as much as they do when something bad/wrong has happened! As the guys have mentioned above, usually wherever you go you’ll of heard nightmare stories but don’t let this influence you.

Did CF for the first time in 2009, camped & had the best time ever. Just use your common sense & have your wits about you – then you’ll have nothing to worry about. Saturday is a late one, 3-4am finish tent dependent here (main stage is around 11pm) & Sunday wraps up at midnight, but if you’ve made the most of your day (not by spending hrs hanging in the camping areas either), 10+ hrs on offer of partying should be more than welcomed.

Yeah the worst of the lot... I'll hold you at knifepoint for 20p to buy my next fix which I intend on shooting into my eyeball...

Or maybe not.
