I will search you out this year by asking everyone I see if they know CeeCee. If that doesn't work i'll start checking all of the ice cream vans!!

We can then talk absolute nonsense until all becomes clear.....

I need to wear something completely and utterly outstanding. So thats not a UV jacket, bunny ears, fairy wings, cowboy hats or Michelin Man costumes then..............

Nope, usual goth attire for me I think. Though I gotta say, I wasnt too goth last year.. I had a murderdolls hoodie, and a free hugs t-shirt and the obligatory black eyes... and green wellies. Ask everyone with green wellies if they are CeeCee. Even the blokes.

I am one of those people who NEEDS hugs. Especially after midnight. You will find me by said ice cream van sobbing "please hug me" whilst bopping to whatever tunage I can hear.

I remember you used to be able to go out n it was perfectly ok to hug randomers... now the scene has changed, I can't hug anyone coz they spent 38729 hours straightening their hair. THat makes me a sad panda.

What happened to the dance music scene? I was at a drum n bass thing the other night and the kiddos started a mosh pit. Grim times all round. Let me get my groove on kiddies.

To be honest, it really comes into its own if the weather's a bit dodgy as it's somewhere to shelter with nice clean toilets. I don't camp so can't comment on that side of things but the main advantages are the area itself and the toilets. The priority parking and entry are useful, particularly if you arrive at the same time as loads of others, and the free food is ok. I would never do it any other way but then i'm old and my proper raving days were over in the mid 90's!! :D

  • 2 weeks later...

Tiesto vs Chemical Brothers is going to be a toughie for any fan after a great end to the Saturday night. Wonder where the positioning of the North Stage is going to be in comparison to the Main Stage?!

Speaking of Chemical Brothers, think I’m going to find myself in a group torn between Chemical Brothers vs Coldplay clash at Glasto – what to do, aarrghh!

    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
