Vitalic, bloody beetroots, slam etc... :/ would happily take a few of todays announcement at rockness.

Vampire Weekend played both T and Rockness last year so going by that it can be done.

Last year T in The Park and Rockness shared only one mutual act as far as I can see... Vampire Weekend. But it's not really a rule that you can only play one of the two fests unless it's written in to the contracts.

I don't think its a contractual thing per se (as in Spain) but more a logisitcal/cost thing for non-British based artists. It doesn't really make sense to go to Scotland twice within a few months for a lot of them so they pick one or the other and plan their schedule accordingly.

I'm a bit gutted Vitalic is playing TITP but overall there is no-one else I'm overly bothered about that I wont be seeing elsewhere. Well Bright Eyes I suppose but I didn't for a million years think they would be playing Rock Ness anyway

Yea generally if u play one fest in Scotland, you won't be playing the other... with one or 2 exceptions in the past.

Deadmau5 may though have scheduled Titp and then with the cancellation of the glasgow show in december may come back aswell for ROCKNESS.

I don't think it is all that special to be honest. Blondie, Pendulum,Chase & Status, Vitalic all played Rockness last year? I am a little disappointed that Deadmau5 is unlikely to be announced for Rockness now, but I am pretty confident that the organisers can come up with the goods tomorrow and the next few weeks with some fresh djs and bands.

the T line up is a bit rubbish. a few decent acts but with the exception of pulp, there's nothing really amazing. most of the acts on the line up have played other UK festivals in the past few years.
