Which tv to get?

Anyone know much about tvs?

been looking round for a new tv, between 37-42inches, full hd 1080p freeview built in etc

come up with 3 possibles, I like the sony with 4xHDMI but I read on a forum someone saying 'You can get better TVs for that price' - but as per usual, didnt mention what's wrong with it or what the better tvs are

Can't help you too much here, but I paid £450 for the Sony KDL-40EX403U a couple of months ago, which I think is the same as the one you mention but with Freeview HD built in. Its £550+ everywhere now, so I guess I got a good deal, but anyway I can't fault it as a TV. I'm sure the videophiles out there will be able to pick on something, but hey-ho.

If you're not in a rush, might be an idea to wit until after chrimbo & see what the sales have in store.

someone else suggested that, I read that the sound on the sony's not great..but could just be someone being really picky...

mentions a wifi adapter on this samsung-I guess it's so you can connect to the net wirelessly and load up sites like youtube?!

Since 5.1 has been mentioned; I've been thinking about getting it. I've also thought about getting a proper hi-fi amp & a turntable. Do you get boxes that would do both, or is one type of taking-in-sound-and-pushing-it-to-speakers very different to the other?
