No, no Sepultura are a Metal band through and through. I think as they progressed in their career they threw some Brazilian folk music into their mix but they were never a Rap band. Soulfly, Max Cavalera's other band, were more 'groove' orientated band but I'm not sure they were a full-on Rap Metal band like Limp Bizkit either.

I only really tend to enjoy Sepultura and Soulfly when they steer away from the groove elements and just play Thrash. I like the experimentation on Roots but to me, if Slayer's 'Reign in Blood' didn't exist then 'Beneath the Remains' would be the best Thrash album barre none and that's all Sepultura or Soulfly should ever play... ever. Nothing else, just Beneath the Remains.

Deftones.

But i wouldn't put them in the Rap/metal scene as they've only a handful of songs that have that awful sound. More alternative metal, but should still fit your needs. Still top of the bunch from the 2000 metal era, which shows in their new album which completely destroys, Korn's, Linkin park's and papa roaches new albums.

    • She was/is 100% in the mix, but I don't know specific timings and how it relates to that interview. They've clearly gone after her, again.   It could be read in a number of ways - she was in negotiations at that point, she was talking about BST (and he's interpreted it, as we have, as Glastonbury). Who knows
    • So sad to see the news that John Douglas of the Trashcan Sinatras has died. They only released their latest album last week and it is wonderful.  So underrated and a member of such a great long running band that have meant so much to me over the last 40 years. https://trashcansinatras.com/blogs/news/john-douglas-1963-2026
    • listening to jamie east's podcast earlier he said that he'd heard fender is confirmed, and that as of 2 weeks ago Madonna hadn't been approached.
    • which would make that Graham Norton interview nonsense .... although obviously things change
    • I dunno - I thought that initially but I'm, reluctantly, edging towards not happening as it stands. Will continue to dig where I can, though.   Re 2028 - I wouldn't be confident. If this is the second time they've tried and it's gone belly up, it could be a case of just write it off.
