They may have been 'fine' before him but when he joined they became outstanding. The man is a genius. It would be great if he came to Leeds & Reading as a solo artist.I'm not gonna hold my breath though. The Navarro album (One Hot Minute) is good but its no Blood Sugar Sex Magic.

Ive watched them 4 times and that last time at Leeds was by far and away the poorest. I think they played one song (Give it away) pre Californication. They just looked so toured out aswell. Musically its gone down hill for them lately and i think thats why John left. He's making much more interesting stuff on his solo records anyhow.

One Day As A Lion - the new collaboration between Rage Against The Machine front-man Zack de la Rocha and former Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore, have just been announced as headliners for Soundwave alongside QOTSA and Iron Maiden.

I hope they will appear at Reading/Leeds

Agreed. Could sell a load of day tickets, although the kids wont have a clue what's going on! Aren't they third in the all time list of consecutive platinum/gold albums behind The Beatles and Rolling Stones?
