a few questions

First time at creamfields this year and since we have never been before we have a few questions that we hope you experienced fielders can help with. We are going for the day on sunday, getting the train and then the shuttle bus there and are wondering what time to get there for. We want to make the most of the day and see as much as possible but dont want to get there before anything happens. Is it worth going for the opening at 12 or would we be better aiming for the afternoon. We have general admission and know we are going to have to que to get in- again is it better to be there for the start at 12 or will the que likely be less later on?

once inside- how much can we expect to pay for food/ drinks etc just so we can figure out how much cash to take.

even if it doesnt rain will it still be muddy?

probably have more questions but cant think of them right now :)

last year it was sunny on the saturday and the fields stayed dry but sunday it rained and it was a mud bath! hope this helps =)

cheers guys for that, No we are well aware we will need to que and have no issue with this just want to know what sort of time we should be aiming to get there for to minimise the queing where possible, At the end of the day we know we need to que and are prepared to stand in a line etc just dont want to miss some essential people whilst still stood in the que so just trying to figure it out. Random question on id too im 25 and usually dont get id many places anymore however i dont drive and so only have my uni id etc should i get id will this be enough to get me in? there is no way i am taking my passport not least as i am off on hols the following weekend cannot be trusted with these things when drunk!! i am SO excited i cant wait!!

i think that may be the best plan, the train to liverpool takes an hour and half! i checked last night lol. warrington it is just an hour so i can spend that extra half an hour waiting to hop on a lovely arriva bus with the rest of the motley crue that will be around! cant wait! :)

As for our German friend... hello and welcome... yup you can buy alcohol from the bars and there are plenty of vendors for the old munchies (not that I will be eating...liquid meals for me)

    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
