Earlybird entry time

Me and my friends have got earlybird tickets for Reading, and on the official website it says that there is no entry before 6pm on the Wednesday. However, we're gonna be there way earlier than that (our train is due to get into Reading at half 1), so does anyone know how flexible this time is? I assume this is just an approximate time, and may let people in earlier than that, but wanted to check?

On some websites they say 2PM I think and the tickets say 6PM, presumably to stagger arrivals.

So they will almost certainly be open by 2PM I think and will probably let people in before that

They do this every year, leeds opened a lot earlier than 2 last year whereas in 2008 it open a few hours late.

Like someone said once the site is in a fit state and stewards/securty in place they can open.

I worked at glastonbury so know from experience some parts of the site open on time, others early whereas others very late. Thats due to the fact electrical work still going on or not enough stewards etc

This will be my third year with an early bird...

First year early bird, got there at 18:00 on the dot and walked straight in...so realised the gates had been open ages already.

Second year early bird, got there at 12:00, waited around for an hour in the queue, had a beer, then got let into an EMPTY Green camp. Between two of us, we setup 8 tents and Green still only looked like this...

So don't believe the website too much...

considering they're ahead of schedule this year with all the building work and so fourth they probs will be able to let people in early.

Yeah I'm 90% sure the tickets said the same thing last year - at Leeds we'd pitched up by about 2pm.
