L.E.D FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES PUMP UP THE VOLUME ARENA + 90’s FANCY DRESS THEME

It’s just 7 weeks until London’s hottest dance festival aka L.E.D Festival lands in Victoria Park with one of the biggest electronic line ups London’s ever seen that includes the likes of Leftfield, David Guetta, Goldfrapp, Aphex Twin, Calvin Harris, Friendly Fires, Annie Mac, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso to name a few. As we gear up to the big one, we are pleased to announce an all new arena to the show. One of the UK’s coolest club nights ‘Pump Up The Volume’ will be hosting their very own arena, musically taking a nostalgic look back to the 90’s! Other arenas already announced include Cream, Annie Mac Presents, Planet Turbo and Hed Kandi!

To celebrate PUMP UP THE VOLUME hosting their own time transporting VIP arena on Saturday 28th August, beaming us to the 90’s when the noise levels hit 1.21 Gigawatts, L.E.D are encouraging all festival goers to dig out their 90’s clobber and fully submerge themselves into the 90’s! Those with the best outfits will win an upgrade for them and their mates into the exclusive PUMP UP THE VOLUME VIP Arena . So if you want to dress to impress make sure your jeans are baggy, your tops are cropped and t-shirts carry a smile.

PUMP UP THE VOLUME has already received acclaim as the new night about town, holding sporadic parties at Visions in Dalston and with some awesome warehouse bashes in the pipeline too.

If you’re bored of the 80’s revival and want to remember that last decade of the 20th Century before everything went all ‘digital and download’ then PUMP UP THE VOLUME is the place to be. Hear records by the likes of TLC, Altern 8, Whitney Houston, Rhythm is Rhythm, Bizzare Inc, En Vogue, Jazzy Jeff, Lucy Pearl, Vanilla Ice, Gang Starr, Madonna, Q Tip and a whole lot more.

To hear what it’s all about check out the ‘radical’ 90s mix from the gorgeous Pump Up The Volume residents Minkioni and Naomiiii!

That's a really unexciting addition. yay to music like Altern 8, but not sure I wanna be listening to the likes of Madonna, TLC and Whitney Housten at an electronic music festie. Maybe I'll be wrong as I haven't been to any of their nights before but I hope you have something more exciting in store for the saturday...

THIS SUMMER’S HOTTEST DANCE FESTIVAL FEATURING DAVID GUETTA, LEFTFIELD, CALVIN HARRIS, APHEX TWIN, GOLDFRAPP AND MANY OTHERS ARE LOOKING FOR YOU...

LONDON - VICTORIA PARK - 27 + 28 AUGUST

Have you got what it takes to take on L.E.D festival this summer? Can you hold your own with the best the music industry has to offer? Are you the next big promoter of the future? Or today’s hottest undiscovered talent?

With a line up that includes some of dance music’s biggest artistes, you could be joining the likes of David Guetta, Leftfield, Goldfrapp, Friendly Fires, Aphex Twin and many many more on the L.E.D festival bill! Three giants of live music, Cream, Goldenvoice and Loudsound, have joined forces to create what is destined to become one of London’s most exciting outdoor electronic dance festivals. Pooling their collective resources they have secured an array of special guest appearances from a phenomenally diverse range of dance music’s most exciting acts.

Your chance to be at this landmark event couldn’t be simpler: We want YOU, the audience, to get involved and foster the next generation of musical and promotional talent. Prove your worth, and your fan base, by pulling in the crowds.

If you want to win, become a promoter of L.E.D. and promote yourself to us too, then all you have to do is submit a 20 minute guest mix with a reason why you should win the coveted slot, and in addition to that we'll set you up as a ticket ambassador so you can make some cash in the process!

For each ticket you sell to your fans you will receive a commission back and for every 20 tickets you sell you’ll get a free ticket to the festival. Whoever sells the most tickets, and proves their talent to us all, will win the host slot. And it doesn’t stop there, runner up prizes include signed goodies and festival merchandise.

EDITORS NOTES

Cream’s James Barton commented: “Building on our years of experience, we are delighted and proud to announce this new electronic dance festival to the capital, and hope that the people of London will show their support and enjoy what we know will be a great weekend of music, headlined by two of the biggest dance acts on the planet.”

Jim King (Goldenvoice & Loudsound) said: “Both Goldenvoice and Loud Sound are really excited about being a part of these shows. David Guetta is undoubtedly the man of the moment and LED is set to be his biggest show in the UK. Its also going to be Leftfield’s first show in London for over 10 years and seeing them perform back to back classics after all these years will be a very special moment. Both headliners are being supported by some really great acts and it promises to be a great weekend”.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
