Right we arrived about 3am and drove straight into west 38. It's been a really nice atmosphere, people are allowed out their cars, have a beer a smoke etc no trouble. Will see I'f I can update on how full the car parks are shortly

My husband and daughter have just arrived and say it was fine getting into the car parks but the queues onto site are huge!!

Got to wait for my daughter to finish her last GCSE at 3pm before jumping on a train and joining them later - gutted I will miss the footie though.

Safe journey everyone

Left home 6.20am on site by 7.15.

sadly off site again by 8.30 and back at my desk, godammmit!

There are three hour queues to get into the car park, and another three hours to get through the gates. Have fun you lucky, lucky bastards. see you friday.

just had a call from a friend who is approaching Shepton Mallett from the east on A361. She hit traffic at Doulting about 20 mins ago and has been stationary ever since - about 2 1/2 miles from entrance to blue route gate and east parking fields.

looks better than last year at this stage but still a ballache...

Looking on the Glasto Twitter feed: www.twitter.com/glastofest there are queues of 3 hours from Junction 23 of the M5 (A39), 40 minutes on the A37 from the South and 1 hour 45 from Bristol on the A37.

Friends of mine left Bristol at 7.30 this morning, and were in with tents pitched just after 12.30

They said that Pennards is virtually full and the site is very busy already....

Update from my husband - as stated above they got on site at 7.30am no problems but have only just gone through the gates at 1.30pm!!!

They are not sure what is going on as some people who got there last night still only got in the same time as them, whereas others who arrived long after them got in straight away. Seems like it's pot luck as to how quickly you get from the car parks through the gates.

Good luck everyone
