ID question...again

right I know everyone says it should be fine - but incase of the worst, i.e. I get questioned as to whether it's me on the photo ..it is!

What would be best to take:

MBNA statement/HSBC statement/bt bill/payslip (with my name and address) and maybe my work ID

I could take them all obviously if its the best thing to do..rather be over prepared in case someone does decide to say it isnt me!

I paid for the tickets on my HSBC card which I'll have with me - but I wasn't sure if they'd be able to check there and then to see that I paid for the tickets using that card..can they?!?!

I'm taking the tickets in the envelope they came in which also has my new address on - and I had to sign for them, used my debit card with my name as ID, as I had them re-delivered

any advice hugely appreciated, i'm overthinking and worrying about it!

thanks

mark

I was under the impression that you need no ID, the fact that your photo is on the ticket is enough...

If you are worried I would look at it and think, I am only going to take one form of ID, and on that thought think which one you would not care if it got lost or stolen... unless you are intending on using the lock-ups to store all this ID that you intend to take. I have my work ID in my purse and my bank card and thats all I will be taking, the thought of losing something with my ID and address on it would worry me more!!

Good luck...

yes mate taking my bank card, which I paid for the tickets on, just wondered if that would be enough to prove my ID?

Would it be enough/ can they check to see I did buy the tickets using that card etc?

I mean it's only that I had hair in this photo, shaved my head since then, other facial features, still the same..I mean jeez..passports are valid for 15years, people change hairstyles..but not facial features!

I wouldn't risk taking anything like a bank statement with account details, address etc for all to see.

I know everyone says it, but seriously, they don't check too closely and as far as I remember there's no way they can hook up to any system to check who paid for which tickets with which cards. I'll be taking my cashpoint card in case I need to use it and if push came to shove that'd do as ID cos it's got my name on it! Let's face it, who looks like their passport photo a few years later anyway???

The guys and girls on the gates are largely just nice people like us who want people to go in and have a good time :D

Me and my Husbands photos are at least 6 years old!! we used them since the photo registration was needed and the pics were about 3yrs old at that time, we both look different, but I think if they asked for ID then I am sure they would want to see a picture of you as its recognition you think they may have a problem with... I think your bank card will be fine, they do not expect people to have ID as the site says it is not needed.... if you are driving in a car and you are concerned with this keep your bank statements safe in your car, and you can go get if needed.... (I remember we did this the first year they had the photo registration). I am not sure if they can check at the gate if you used your bank card to buy tix, all I can say is we have never experienced any problems...

Don't worry you will be fine... espically if its all above board you have little to worry about, apart from getting searched

This is the main point really. It is your face. Your face is your ID. Your face is the same face as on the picture. I really couldn't see any point in taking wage slips and bills and all that malarky because the chances of them even thoroughly inspecting your photo are slim. Your bank card should be fine. STOP FRETTING.

I wish someone knew for deff if a bank card/bank statement./work ID/bt bill/work ID are sufficient if I get asked for ID..I mean there's no way I'd have all that if im not who I say i am - plus I paid for the sodding tickets on my card....!!!!!!!!!!1

i guarentee you they wont ask you for anything. Its your photo on the ticket so end of story. my photo is 4 years old and i look a bit different but the last 2 years they barely looked at my photo. They would only ask if it was a blatently different picture. Do you really think the guy checking the tickets really gives that much of a sh*t to start asking for bills and bank statements. A bank card would be fine anyway. Stop worrying, get excited and have an amazing festival. You'll breeze past the security checking tickets and think why was i so worried?

the dealers at the stone circle only accept driving licenses and passports. the cards good for cutting and the glossy finish on the passport is a good enough mirror

it's a photo from like 06 i think maybe 07 cant remember, jjust know I used it in 07!

Thanks for the reassurance everyone, as said before I overthink EVERYTHING, super paranoid :)

it is me on the ticket, i paid for it on my card, it's not exchanged/bought off someone else or even slightly dodgy

i'll take some documents anyway just in case, my bank statement, work id, and a bt bill - if it wasnt me there's no way id have all that!!

Also taking the tickets in the envelop with my new address on, where they got sent, matches my documents !
