We had torrential rain and electrical storms all night in Nottingham. Throughout the night we had been constantly woken by thunder and the noise of the water hitting the windows, me and my girlfriend had been saying how it felt like being at Glasto.

As the rain continued to beat down, at 9.00am the doorbell rang. I wondered who on Earth it could be. Surely even the jehova's witnesses would be taking the day off in this weather.

It was my Glasto tickets..

I keep looking for signs, its getting ridiculous. I went to a folk festival for work yesterday, the weather was glorious. The organiser said they'd had great weather the first two years (ok, thats 07 and 08, I'm thinking in my head), awful weather last year (ok, 09) and now it was the best ever.

Rather than hear a word anyone was saying, I sat there trying to work out how all that could correlate to the weather patterns for Glasto. I need help!

Last year, having got all prepared, I went into Liverpool on Tuesday in a brilliant mood, picking up last minute bits. It started to rain, torrentially. I got in the house, called my mother, and cried!

    • Solid list...  but i must ask?  are you excluding Lime Garden & Tomora as you didn't like them or is it that you havent listened to them?
    • It was Brooklyn last year, and I seem to remember a Guinness tent
    • That leaker off Instagram was saying earlier this year that Nickelback are doing a tour with Broco and Wargasm, but no evidence as yet
    • Gojira are unoficially confirmed by the organisation at Hellfest since last December already.   Slayer was supposed to be this year as a Mainstage 2 headliner at the place of Volbeat for a thrash day but negotiations fell off. Very likely to be there next year.    MCR I didn't know about but it fits well with Hellfest's desire to keep one day as more punk/rock orientated.    Europe are a confirmed headliner for Sweden Rock 2027. They will not headline HF but we may seem them on the bill. I am very curious who will be the legacy bands next year at HF. There was some backlash after 2025 and a bit of a return to heavier metal on the bill in 2026 - e.g. Gatekeeper on the main stage. The only considerable legacy acts I see coming (if they are in Europe) and haven't been at HF for a while are Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Slash, FFDP (if you count them as legacy), ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I really hope they manage to pull sth big for the 20th anniversary like AC/DC.
