I wont be going to watch them. 2 Reasons

1) Cannot stand Pete Doherty and will be avoiding the Libertines Set. Which means on the friday ill be in the tent instead of main stage.

2 Huge Enter Shikari fan, and i mean huge... So might aswell stick around for Pendulum after.

Not putting Arcade Fire down they just bore the living daylight out of me... Prefer a bit more tempo and noise lol

I was originally hellbent on watching Pendulum, but after much consideration and a lot of album listening, I'm definately seeing AF. I'll have to dash over from watching Enter Shikari to see them, but it's going to be superb :)

Btw DaveTheHedgehog, kudos on the Comsat Angels mention! Great band, greatly underrated, from my great city ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

I cannot wait for this, don't think I've looked forward to a single festival set this much before. The whole weekend is just looking absolutely amazing.

The only downside of loving a band as much is the hurt you feel when they get to three albums in and some of your favourite tracks get cut out of the set. Looks as if 'Antichrist Television Blues', 'Windowsill' and 'Well and the Lighthouse' won't get an airing. Got to be happy with that set though, although I'm sure there'll be a few alterations before the end of August.

link to the album leak? i was at that gig at hackney empire. it was without a doubt the best gig i've been too. Reading is gonna be amazing, all the new songs live were brilliant and that encore was something else.

just got my weekend ticket this morning after cancelling my oxfam place, cant wait now. the thought of potentially missing them whilst doing a shift was enough to pull out of stewarding. f**k charity

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.

    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
